We tested one blind today and, so far, it is staying on the window with the three supplied suction cups. Each summer, when the portable AC is put into this window, we cannot pull down the existing blind all the way down because of the AC hose. This easy-install blind is a summer-only fix. I measured the two sides of this split window and found that the smallest blind (16x24-inch ) would in each window gap. After testing the blind on one side; I have ordered two more! The material is very flimsy, but the blind is working great. I decided to order two more so I will have a backup one should the cat decided to mess with the blinds when she is in the window. When the other blinds come, I plan to do a better install by cleaing the inside of the window with water and vinegar, then putting the suction cup blinds back on. No printed instructions came with this blind, but it was not difficult to figure out where to slide on the three suction cups (two at the top corners and the third into the pull-down tab).

Bedroom windows that face the hot west sun on the evening. Easy to install. Have made several degree difference in the temperature of the bedroom. Quality I was concerned about but have held up well to the hot sun. 100-109 degrees here. Put on the inside.

This roller blind is a good quick fix for a bright and sunny window. It looks like mesh in the pictures, but it's actually a plasticky material. I have a white lounge chair that the sunlight bounces off of and into my kitchen window. With this shade, I'm able to quickly stick it to the window with the two upper suction cups, pull it down to where I need it, and stick on the third suction cup to hold it in place. It won't stay put until you attach the lower suction cup. It does the job but isn't all that fancy.

We really hoped this would be good for blocking out some of the sun on my office window since it gets so hot here in GA in the summer time. When trying to install this on our window, the suction cup wasn’t strong enough to hold the screen in place so it kept closing. The screen does not have a stopping point so it just goes up and down without any notches to stop at, even when extended all the way out. Our screens in the car for the kids even has a stopping point so they stay put when you install them, but this doesn’t, it just freely moves up and down. It doesn’t work for us unfortunately.

Mechanically it seems fine...the shade pulls down, the suction cups hold it in place well enough. If these were the only considerations I'd give it 5 stars. But... Blackout, it's not. The dot pattern on the shade lets a lot of light through. The picture of a curtain on a north-facing window shows how much the shade lets through (left half of curtain) compared to unshaded (right half). That's not the only issue, though. The way the suction cups attach means you have 2 inches of uncovered window at both the top and bottom. Add a half inch on both sides because the metal parts are wider than the frame. You get the idea--it lets a lot of light through. Minus 3 stars for promising more than it delivers. Incidentally, I obtained two of these (from different sellers) that are the same product, and this review applies equally to both.

(Heat Insulation Blackout Roller Blinds Retractable ) This is not a blackout shade. I didn’t want it to be but just wanted to put that out. You can see through it. I don’t know about heat insulation but I don’t think I would count on this shade for that either. It is retractable but will not hold down on its own without connecting to the third suction cup. This shade came with some manufacturing defects on the top. You can’t really notice once you have the shade assembled and pulled down but I don’t trust the quality of this shade to be being pulled up and down daily. I am using it to keep sun out and basically permanently pulled for the season and it is working good for that and staying put.

So far, it's working okay. I'm a little skeptical about how long the suction cups will work, but I don't mind applying some water on them every once in a while to make sure the window surface is clean and the suction cup functions and sticks as it should. The retractable part of the screen is fine. It's a thin plastic film (like the plastic sheets teachers used to use on projectors in the classroom). It's not totally blackout as it is still safe to drive with. It does provide some privacy. I'll update the listing as we continue to use it in the car, but for now, it helps a lot to block out that really strong sun/UV.
