The product is great. It looks good, fits perfectly with 12” queen mattress and very sturdy. Assembly can take quite a bit. It took over 2 hours following the direction and using the tools, however, the end result is worth it.

    • As described but short and could be tough to assemble yourself

I looked around for a navy bed frame with a headboard, and I really liked the look of this one. It looks exactly as described, including the color. It recommends 2 people for assembly, but I did it by myself. The hardest parts were: moving the box it came in, which is quite heavy, and the final step of getting the wooden slats on. The wooden slats are all connected to each other with velcro fabric to attach to the base, and there is a hook of sorts on each end of the frame to secure them. However, you need to squeeze every millimeter of stretch out of the velcro fabric to reach the frame after hooking in the opposite end. I spent probably 20 minutes just trying to get it to stretch enough. That step may be easier with 2 people, but I’m not convinced it would be, and it might not be possible for some people at all. It honestly would be easier and better to just have each slat screwed in individually, but that’s not an option. The other steps take time, but they are straightforward, and the directions are easy to follow. Pieces are clearly labeled so you know what the step is referring to, and each step lists in the corner what hardware pieces you’ll need and how many for the step. I had no issues with the directions. I also really liked that everything you need to assemble comes in the box, including hardware, an allen wrench, and a little wrench. It says with 2 people that assembly should take about 30 minutes, but I think that’s a lofty goal even with 2 people based on my experience. It took me about 2.5 hours, I think. The frame seems sturdy, and the headboard is padded enough to be comfortable but could probably do with more stuffing for added support. One thing I wish I’d realized is how short the bed frame is, which the listing clearly indicates. I just didn’t put it together what that would look like. I chose to get a box spring for added height even though you don’t need one, and with that and a mattress, there are only about 2 of the 3 headboard panels showing even with the extra 2 inches by choosing the highest assembly option. In addition, I don’t think you can really use the space under the bed for storage because it sits too close to the floor. I have a relatively small 20-pound dog, and she can’t fit under it. Overall, I would recommend the bed frame because it is as described, especially if you’re looking to have a bed close to the floor and have enough strength to assemble it. ... show more

Very nice frame and headboard definitely 2 person assembly but I bought a $89 low profile 4 inch box spring on Amazon to put under the mattress because the bed was too low.
