The scale was packaged nicely. Laid out the sections as the owners manual indicated. The manual really did a great job of explaining the assembly and it did provide side notes of things to be aware of. Based on the reviews I read prior to making the purchase I included the adapter - ADPT31! There was one review which stated about plugging in the adapter wire during assembly. I can definitely see why! The pre-wired PORT wire plugs into the side of wheel base. I can definitely see why! It's in a tricky spot once assembled. If you DO THIS step then if you need to plug your adapter into the base - it's ready to go!! I've included a picture of the external jack for the adapter. The port wire is inside behind the jack. I did watch a you tube video prior to assembly and that cleared everything up. It took me about 30-40 minutes, double checking every step. ... show more

This scale has an on/off button. Large platform to stand on which makes it feel very steady. Seems accurate.

    • Phenomenal scale
I went for the doctors for my physical and I asked them what scale they used and they use the scale. For accuracy I put a 5 pound bag of flour on it and it was exactly 5 pounds. I have another Dr. scale that you have to balance and it cannot compare to this one and this one is exceptional you won’t be disappointed ... show more

The scale works well and I would recommend its purchase. Disadvantages: I encountered 3 difficulties: (1) the "manual" is printed so tiny that I had to go make an enlarged xerox copy in order to read it. (2) The scale comes with a "support" telephone number decal but no one responds to a call upon leaving a message. (3) I did not know about the AC Adapter until I bought the scale. I bought it, then discovered that I would have to take the scale apart to install it,--that is not an easy task, and it requires two people to do it. ... show more

The scale went together fairly easily but it did take 2 people to get it done. Would be difficult for just 1 person. This was purchased for a weight loss group, which we haven't tested on the group yet. We did test it with a 20 pound weight and it was perfect.
