I thought I'd try out a cheaper version of the elite headset and I'm glad I did. I had the quest 1 and never bothered with elite but now I wish I had. Easy enough to install and it"s soooo much more comfortable. I can't compare this to the $80 meta one but I'm guessing it's on par. I do worry a bit about the dial on the back. Will the mechanics of it(spring?) Hold up? I will update if I have any issues. Great value here though! *4 month update* It works great! I've had no problems so far. A great deal!

The 3 photos are Bobo M3 Pro, this product, and TRANSNOVO. They came in the same box, and they're near identical with small differences which I think are deliberately placed to create new SKUs. So if you see like 10-20 different brand names that seem very similar, that's what's going on. Bobo is the winner obviously; more comfortable with the forehead rest; awesome to have the backup battery. These cheap brand ones are definitely more comfortable than the cloth strap, which is why I'm not giving them a 1 star. The default cloth headstrap is a 1 star. But really, do yourself a favor and spend the extra for Bobo or Kiwi. Comfort is such a big deal when you want to game or VR work for extended periods of time, and these don't take you that final stretch.

When I first started putting this together, I had doubts about its comfort because the rear pad connect to the rear of the strap with 4 connection points. That means that it wasn’t going to swivel to adjust to the contour of the rear of my head. But after trying it on, it ended up being very comfortable (no forced pressure from the top or bottom of the rear pad). So even though the rear cup is in a fixed position, there’s more than enough padding on the cup to allow for slight deviations in the shape of the rear of a person’s head. The rear adjustment knob has very obvious ridges for gripping purposes. I played several games for 2+ hours at a time and never had any sore spots or headaches as a result of the head strap. I did have the standard discomfort with the front facial interface, but that’s an issue with the stock Quest 3 facial interface and not an issue with this strap.
