  • Works well enough! Just a few things...
Style: USB3.0
So I bought this to consolidate my setup, I have a work PC and then my personal Mac Pro I use for gaming and personal life stuff. Here is the pro/cons of this unit from where I sit. Pros: - Does the job, up to 4K 60hz (it may even be able to do more, but I could only test 4K 60hz myself) - Comes with three HDMI cables (I would imagine they are HDMI 2.0 capable, but I did not use them as I already bought HDMI 2.1 approved cables, so I just used those) - Easy to setup, just plug everything in, and it works. - Small size, compared to similar KVMs - Powered via USB, saving you an outlet on the surge protector. - Good built quality, feels sturdy and strong Cons: - No EDID and HDCP simulation, meaning that whenever you switch computer, the computer you switch from thinks the monitors are disconnected, and so when you switch back the computer takes a second or two to realise you "plugged in" a monitor. This is honestly the biggest con in my opinion, as there are other KVMs for the same price point that do have EDID and HDCP simulation. - The USB port placement. So this may just be me, but it is a little annoying that the only USB ports are located on the front of the KVM. Now I understand this might be for hot swapping, but logically your mouse and keyboard have to be plugged into the KVM, and you arent really going to want/need to unplug those often. I haven't needed too personally. To me, it just would have made sense if they put the two USB 2.0 ports on the back, and leave the USB 3.0 in the front for hot-swapping. - Macs have issues with the USB 3.0 port. Now it may just be with the device itself, but it is something to note. My CORSAIR gaming headset, does NOT like the front USB 3.0 port. Now it works fine, on one device, or the other. However upon switching from the PC to the Mac with the headset plugged in, the KVM stops sending USB info to the Mac. I am not certain why this is, but it means that the mouse, keyboard, and headset all do not power up when switched to the Mac. However if I unplug the headset, and switch to the Mac, it works flawlessly, no issues. So basically your results may vary, but it is something I felt the need to note. ... show more

  • Easy to set up, but I’ll be returning
Style: USB3.0
This works great with my PC! The wireless keyboard and mouse both work as expected, however they won’t work on my MacBook Pro, but the screens and everything else seem to be functioning as expected. I’m honestly really disappointed and had high hopes.

  • Plug and play - presto!
Style: USB3.0
I used a TeSmart KVM for a year and a half. While it had connectivity issues from time to time, usually a reboot would fix the issue. When it finally gave out on me, I bought another one. That one still didn't work with my dual monitor and two computer setup. I took a chance, returned it right away, and bought this brand instead and VOILA! It works. I'm so happy, I just had to post a review because I was annoyed that a simple switcher didn't work. :-) Time will tell if it stays consistent from here on out. ... show more

  • Excellent Customer Service
Style: USB2.0
This has made switching between my Windows and Mac desktops quite seamless. Updated: In my original review I noted a problem I had with the connection for my Windows computer. I was able to determine the issue was a bad USB cable that came with the product. The Great-HT team quickly responded to my review and made it right. I would happily buy from them again, and the product is working very well now. Original: However, on the Windows side, all of my USB connected devices glitch from time to time, typically when I'm on video calls. I need to see whether it's the cables, but this has made for a reduced experience. ... show more

  • Keyboard and mouse input doesn't work
Style: USB3.0
I bought this as a christmas present for my son. He's able to work from home so he has a company laptop as well as his gaming computer and I thought this would be a good gift so that he doesn't have to keep switching his keyboard and mouse around all the time. I finally asked him why he doesn't have everything for the 2 computers run through the switch and he told me that he spent several hours but couldn't get the keyboard and mouse to work through the switch. The video portion works fine but not the mechanical keyboard or mouse. Setting up your system(s) shouldn't take an advanced degree to get it to work. He still uses it for the video portion of his systems but that kind of defeats the purpose of why I bought it for him in the first place. I know it's too late to return it but I felt that I needed to write this review. I'm disappointed on the quality control of this product. ... show more

  • I just got it set up today and so far it is great.
Style: USB3.0
I have a Dell PC and a MacBook Air. I have a Wavlink docking station that goes between the MacBook and the Greathhtek KVM. I had bought another brand from another online store prior to this and it would not recognize the Wavlink docking station, so I returned it and had to pay a restocking fee. I will never buy from that place again. I got this all plugged in today and it was a little clunky with the MacBook at first but I got that all ironed out and now I can switch between both computers and everything is great. But like I said I just got everything hooked up now. There was another review that said it quit working after awhile so hopefully I won't have up date this great review ever. ... show more

  • Works great
Style: USB3.0
Set up easily. After setup, the numeric keypad on the keyboard no longer worked. Swapped with another keyboard and it is great now. Kinda weird problem with the original keyboard. If you have a video card with more than two ports, you may need to pay attention to which 2 ports you hook up with the dual monitors - otherwise your PC may boot up with no display. Some cards are picky about the primary monitior hookup The power switch on the rear of the unit is a little hard to turn on since it is so close to the adjacent video cable. Turning off is ok. Otherwise I'm happy with it. ... show more

i use this to switch between my personal laptop with a broken screen and my work computer. i have it hooked up to two new but not gaming quality monitors and a wireless keyboard and mouse, and it switches back and forth very easily. none of what i use it for us gaming related, but it works great for saving desk space and getting more life out of my unfixable laptop. ... show more
