It seems like it's hard to find a happy medium for ladders. It's either a huge ladder that weighs so much that I can't move it and it has to be stored in the garage. Or it's a small little plastic step stool with one step. Neither is convenient when you need something quickly. I love this ladder because it's the happy mediums I've been looking for. It isn't heavy and it folds easily. It becomes so compact that I can store it to the side of my washing machine. The minute you step on it, you know it's sturdy. Perhaps because it has a weight capacity of 300+ pounds. You just feel like it isn't moving and it's secure. With this, I'm able to pull it out when I need it around the house without hassle, which can't be said for a lot of ladders.

This 3-step ladder is much sturdier than I had been expecting. I was expecting a very light weight aluminum ladder, but this thing is seriously sturdy and is also heavier than I was expecting. I have a 6- or 7-foot tall very light weight aluminum step ladder with maybe 7 or 8 steps, but it's too ungainly to lug around for smaller jobs, which is why I ordered this 3-step ladder. I was expecting this 3-step ladder to also be very light weight, but honestly it's pretty heavy (the description says it is "thickened stainless alloy"). This ladder is still easier to move around than a 7-foot tall ladder, so I'm glad I got it, but be advised it's very sturdy and somewhat heavy. That's good, though, in the sense that you want a very stable and steady ladder beneath you when you are cleaning cobwebs out of a corner in the ceiling, dusting the blades of the ceiling fan, or changing a ceiling light bulb. This ladder is going to be very useful for tasks like that, and it's definitely easier to move around than my old very tall aluminum step ladder.

I needed a new step stool (after the one I'd been using for fifteen years broke, and after I failed to read the product info properly on my initial choice of replacement, and ended up with one with a maximum height of 9"), and this one turned out to be exactly what I need. Firstly, it comes fully assembled, which is a huge plus. All you have to do is 'open' it to fold the legs and steps out, then snap the locking top step into place, and they're ready to use. The steps feel very sturdy when in use, and the caps on the bottom of each of the legs are ribbed to give them some slight grip, as is the material that covers the top surface of each of the steps. The top step (of the three-step model that I got) is 16.5" off the ground when the steps are in use, for anyone else who is confused by the fact that the dimensions labeled on the product page don't actually show that piece of information. When you're done using them and want to put them away, all you need to do is push the button behind the top step to release the locking mechanism, then lift the step upwards and fold the whole thing up. The steps can then be stored easily against a wall, in a closet, etc. I'm very pleased with these, and delighted to be able to get to the backs of my highest shelves again. One thing to be aware of is that the perspective in some of the photos on the product page (including the main product photo) could lead you to believe that the 'back' frame of the steps stays at (or close to) 90 degrees to the floor when the steps are in use; that's not the case (as is clearly shown in other photos), as the frame is actually A-shaped when the steps are in use, which means you can't get quite as close to the shelf (etc) in front of you as you could with a set of steps where the non-step part of the frame is straighter/less angled. That's a very minor issue, but just FYI for anyone who may not have noticed!

Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been nothing short of a disappointment. The so-called "anti-slip pedal" is a joke. It offers no real traction or grip, and I found myself constantly slipping, which is a recipe for accidents waiting to happen. It's as if they applied a thin layer of plastic and called it a day. It's not just unsafe; it's outright dangerous. Additionally, the folding mechanism is poorly designed. It's clunky, difficult to operate, and feels like it could break at any moment. Folding and unfolding the ladder is a frustrating experience, and it doesn't inspire confidence in its longevity. Lastly, the price I paid for this ladder was not justified in any way. Given the poor quality and lack of safety features, I would have expected it to be significantly cheaper.
