I got this for my husband. We needed a light one for around the house. This one is light but sturdy and open and closes easy. My sister has the 3 step one and it works great for her house. Steps are wide so your feet don't get tired and uncomfortable like they do on a ladder.

I use the ladder both for hanging up decorations on my ceiling and for reaching the very back of the absurdly high cabinets in my kitchen. My entire apartment has hardwood flooring so I’m not sure how it holds up on carpet but the ladder feels very sturdy under my feet. It’s also lightweight enough to be easily moved from one side of the room to the other. It folds up well and can be stored away in a closet without issue. As an added bonus, my cats love running up and down it and as a result, they’ve adopted it as their new cat tree haha ... show more

Assembly was easy. Hand rails add safety that I appreciate. It makes me feel more secure working overhead changing lights and hvac filters or getting something down off a top shelf. Very stable footing and the weight capacity is more than adequate. I do have a little trouble locking the top step into place (I'm small) but it snaps into place when I step on the bottom step. I took off a star - because I'm concerned whether this design will last as long as my 20 year old Werner aluminum step ladder. What I like best about this ladder is how the top step solidly locks the ladder into the open position and the deep front to back measurement of each step - which feels more stable with my size 12 feet when compared to my older aluminum step ladder. Other observations: * When facing a wall or cabinet from the front - this design gets you closer to the wall compared to other types of ladders. This is important when reaching hard to clean areas when washing the top of my pick up truck, which has a high rise camper shell. * The steel tubing seems heavy enough for my 250 lb weight. I did not notice any wobbles. * This 3 step model fits sideways in the back seat area of the cabin in my pick up truck with room to spare. ... show more
