Price was the beast I could find on the internet. It was not too hard to install, but I had help from a friend, that is a licensed plumber, and my Brother in law who is a licensed electrician. So I was basically muscle and tool getter. After going crazy with the LO code. I finally watched a video and it explained that the problem was LOW WATER PRESSURE. I went through every water line and after fully taking apart my filter, and cleaning it, the heater worked as expected!!! Great product and the family was enjoying the pool the next day.

I installed this on my kayak pool 250k btu propane My pool is 16x32 x4 2 feet in and 2 above ground this heater heats about 2 degrees per hour. Simple to operate . A must have for new England weather

Was a piece of cake to install and startup. Was well informed about how much propane is needed to heat a pool, so I was not surprised. With a 26K gal. pool starting at 60 deg F, increased about 1.6 deg per hour, or about 2.3 gal of propane per hour. Our goal was to extend our swimming season in NE Texas. April is probably a bit early as we discovered due mainly to the difficulty of retaining the added heat. In the future will probably wait until May before using for the season...with adequate pool covers.

If the price seems to be too good to be true, it is. Unfortunately, Hayward has the best products and they don't care about their customers. This unit replaced an identical unit that lasted 12 years. Buy an aftermarket warranty because Hayward probably ain't gonna help ya if you have problems one day after the warranty period.

Newer version of our old pool heater, but this one seems more efficient. It's much quieter, heats more efficiently when using propane, and the casing seems more rodent resistant, which is key. Our old unit had a lot of damage inside from rats nesting inside.

BOUGHT THIS HEATER IN MARCH 2021 AND IT CAME DEFECTIVE. IT'S NOW JUNE 2021 AND NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT AFTER MANY COMPLAINS BY EMAIL AND PHONE CALLS. DO NOT BUY HAYWARD, THEY SUCK AND HAVE BAD PRODUCTS. DO NOT BUY - DO NOT BUY - DO NOT BUY - PLEASE DO NOT BUY.
