The Haymaker saw frame is a beautiful; innovative design focusing first on balance and the fundamentals of proper sawing. This saw frame was made in conjunction with Lion Punch Forge. Engineered from the ground up with a focus on a perfect center of gravity. The handle is press fit onto the frame eliminating the worry of loose handles or handles falling off. The 5” throat makes this saw frame perfect for cutting large pieces with ease. The frame itself weighs only 7 ounces and achieves perfect balance between the frame and custom aluminum handle. The special aluminum alloy was specifically chosen for the frame and was selected for its properties of durability, hardness and weight. Available in 4 colors: Black, Blue, Red and Gold.

I tried to like this saw. Indeed it is well balanced and cuts well, but the balancing protrusions on the top and bottom were always in the way when hand holding small pieces against my pin. For cutting large pieces fast and accurately, it works well, but this is not the majority of what I do.

I really like how this feels in my hand! The handle is very lightweight and comfortable, much lighter than another saw I have with a heavy rubber handle. It takes getting used to because I'm used to much smaller saws, but this one is nice. It's definitely balanced better and is so lightweight that it's comfortable to use. ... show more

I purchased this saw for two reasons. First, a local silversmith recommended it, but she made a profit off of sales through her Amazon listings. Second, it is made in the USA, which is important to me. This saw has been nothing shy of frustrating. The blame is constantly slipping out, bending, breaking, etc. There isn't a way to adjust the tension. I have borderline ruined pieces trying to saw with this. It does not follow a line because the blade becomes so floppy. If I could return it, then I would. I recently purchased a different saw for significantly less money and will see how that one compares. I don't recommend this one at all. ... show more
