First thing I noticed when handling these was the weight of each piece, it was just about right. Not heavy and bulky, not light and flimsy. Feels like this set will hold up to daily use and washing. The finish is consistent, mine was speckled white and I'd have to look closely to see the little speckles. It is nice. I found the raised rim of the plates to be a bit strange since you can't really scrape off the left over food like you would a flat rimmed plate, but the added advantage is that food will stay put on the plates and not roll or drip off. This is a style and design preference that you would have to consider with these. Like it or leave it sort of thing, and I kind of like it. As for stacking, another reviewer did mention that the dishes don't stack that evenly, and I'd have to agree. Also, the bowls stack one on top of the other, so stacking all 4 bowls takes up a lot of height in the cabinet. This set does stand out from the more traditional sets because of the design, and took some getting used to more me.

Beautiful set, very unique and well made. They seems sturdy and strong, they are dishwasher safe and microwave safe. None have given me problems or chipped since I've been using them. I love how the plate has a little lip on it. They are a decent weight and size, I prefer them to my other dishes. They are the perfect size and shape. My others are square..what the heck was I thinking? lol. The are fantastic!

I hadn’t gotten myself new dishes probably since the late 1990’s, & those happened to be hand me downs from my Mom. I had wanted a newer set, but all of the ones I was interested in had coffee cups & saucers. When’s the last time I used anything other then a insulated mug is beyond me, & I just didn’t need the additional items cluttering up my cabinets. I really wanted a set that included both dinner plates, as well as salad plates, & definitely needed to have bowls. This set did not disappoint. This set of Stoneware includes 4-dinner plates, 4-salad plates, & 4-bowls. It’s got a really cool looking rippling effect glaze, which is yet super smooth to the touch. They are most importantly dishwasher & microwave safe, as well as scratch resistant. I really like how they have flat bottoms, which allows them to easily be stacked inside your cupboards. The color of these dishes will go along really well with the rest of our current kitchen serving bowls, & platters as well. I’d highly recommend this 12-piece Stoneware dish set to anyone looking to add new dishes to their kitchen. They are extremely well made, & a great addition to anyone’s current dish situation.

I've been using these for a few weeks and running them through the dishwasher. They haven't chipped or gotten any scratches from steak knives so they have proved durable. The packaging was very secure and kept the dinnerware safe during transit. Each different type of plate/bowl came in its own box inside of a larger box with foam padding between the pieces. The pieces are beautiful with deep color and a nice texture that elevates the overall look and feel. They are pretty heavy which usually I don't love but they are easy to handle because of the ledge so I'm not afraid to drop them when I'm washing them. These have been functional, easy to clean, and have survived just fine in the dishwasher.
