Received the mixer (in green - nice) on Sunday the 4th. After looking over it and deciding I had not made a mistake in purchasing this lovely machine, I made bread. Loved that the mixer is quiet and powerful enough. I had wanted to purchase a KitchenAid as I had some leftover attachments from previous purchases but this Hauswirt seemed like a contender and I am very pleased with this. I will be exploring other recipes and learning more about the machine as time goes by. By the way, the bread was not a disappointment. Will be making more. I have liked and collected this mixer for a long time, and I bought it recently. I just opened it today because I was busy with work. The quality does not match the description. But I found 5 depressions and serious scratches. And it constantly makes "da, da, da" irregular sounds and the machine is unstable when working. ... show more

I always had a mixer like this on my wish list but I was also always under the impression that it had to be a Kitchenaid or Cuisinart but the prices were so high. I had never actually researched and so I started to research and found a mixer that was more powerful, could do all the jobs I wanted, Bigger bowl, high quality attachments, could take additional power attachments and an excellent price. The only reasons this mixer got a 4 instead of 5 is it's pretty noisy and the beaters and dough hook aren't dishwasher proof that I can see. On the positive side it's got plenty of power and does a beautiful job with a double batch of cookie dough. Those suction cups on the bottom really hate to let go of anything!
