This product allows me to control my hair in better ways than any other styling product. Has a matte finish so even if you use too much it isn't notable. But a little goes a long way this product. Works great for my short fine hair. My hair needs to be damp, dry hair can be tricky because my hands will just get stuck in my hair. Difficult to scoop out and hard to emulsify in palms. But I feel it's worth the effort so far because the hold is great. My hair is still in the exact same style after 3 hours and I really like that! Most products my hair falls flat but not Claymation. No scent to speak of which is fine. I would recommend to anyone that has hair like mine. Not sure how it would go for people with thicker hair. ... show more

Make sure to have damp hands before putting in hand and working it. Then have damp hair and it works like a charm. Its super strong so if you have dry hands or not wet enough hair it will be harder to apply.

I’ve tried maybe 10 different molding clays since my preferred brand was discontinued. I read about Hanz de Fuko Claymation in a men’s fashion magazine article. I have pretty thick and longer hair and want a natural look with strong hold. I find that alternatives either lack hold, feel brittle, look a little greasy, and/or feel like there’s really heavy product in my hair. This product has a subtle scent, and looks and feels like I’ve been at the beach or cruising in a convertible. Even running my fingers through it, the styling holds and it doesn’t feel like there’s any product at all in my hair, which is unusual and awesome.
