I have found that a wooden pizza peel dusted with flour works best for launching a pizza into the oven and onto a pizza stone. A metal one works best for retrieval of the pizza from the oven as it is easier to get it under the pizza. I like this pizza peel and appreciate that the handle can be screwed off for storage. One review mentioned that the peel turned and dumped the pizza, but I suspect that the handle had not been tightened enough. My only reservation is that storage of the peel with the handle off means finding a way to store them together. I did find another peel that the handle folds over the peel keeping them together. I decided to return this peel in favor of the one that the handle stays attached. It make storage much easier and I don't have to worry about losing the handle. I hope this review was helpful for you.

This is well constructed and the handle unscrews so it is easy to store. We cook our pizza on our grill and this works well to place the pizza on the pizza stone and remove after cooked. The pizza cooks in 10 minutes.

Works great for my Ooni pizza oven. Long handle has prevented any burns. Easy to use if you keep some flour on it before placing dough on it. I have made our favorite pizza crusts yet with this! Easy to clean and perfect size for making pizzas!

This pizza peel was perfect for my Ooni oven, as my previous pizza peel was smaller. This is very sturdy and made of high quality materials! Make sure to use flour to prevent sticking, and it works awesome!

Last Christmas, I bought a really cool electric pizza oven. I was tired of running in and out of the house to the grill. 🤪 But the pizza tool that came with the pizza oven was useless. Found this and ordered it. It was easy to put together. The weight is light – which is important to my dominant wrist at the moment as I’m recovering from a massive break. Using cornmeal on it allows the pizza to slide onto the pizza stone so easily. And cleaning is a breeze.
