The IPL laser hair removal came in a box per the attached picture. It came with a protective glasses and razor. The machine itself need to be plugged in for it to turn on…I guess for safety reasons so you can’t just casually turn it on. At first, the instructions are a bit difficult to follow since the manual didn’t explain that well. But after a few test, the machine is quite easy to operate. You just have to turn it on, adjust the gear level, then you can press the middle circle button for the laser to flash (or you can do the automatic flash mode). The light is very bright so it’s good that they included the safety sunglasses. I tried it on my face and it seemed to work similar to when I get my facial hair laser at a clinic. However, it only seems effective on lighter/weaker hair like face, chin and underarm areas. When I tried it on my legs (level 4 heat power), the thicker/stronger hair didn’t even fall off and it later burned my legs. While using it, I couldn’t tell that it burned my leg because it doesn’t have any sign. Later, it started to itch and then I noticed my skin turned red and changed to darker color….so BE CAREFUL when using it! Now, I pray the darker skin/burn on my lower legs will fade overtime. ... show more

So it's a standard unit that is sold across other sellers (shop around). Because these units are so standardized, just the watts, modes, shape, filters, and whether it includes cooling is typically the only thing you can judge by. I'd only select this one if you are especially concerned about price and find this one to be the best priced one out there. Pros =standard accepted and working unit =cheaper than some others standard =includes safety glasses / razor Cons =not gun-shaped which is easier to hold =no filters =only 18w =no cooling =included free razor is not as good as others IPL Generalities Units are pretty standardized other than features like cooling, power in watts, shape and build quality. You need to shave prior to use. Usually, they give you a razor but feel free to use your own. Make sure you wear safety glasses. Who knows what damage you could do to your eyes?. =does not work on certain skin or hair colors. See the chart that's included in most IPL. People that find they don't work typically have the wrong matches in the chart for compatibility or aren’t waiting a very long time before you see results. THE FIRST THING I NOTICED WAS THIS WAS NOT PROPERLY SEALED! The box was open inside another box. Supposed to have 999,999 but only has 999,997. It works fine so, no need to return it. Operating an IPL device is pretty simple if you follow the directions. It’s choosing the level, making sure you don’t miss a spot, and having the patience/commitment to follow through with it to get the results you want. I have seen reviews under many IPL hair removal devices that say they used it for a month and didn’t see results. Well, it takes time. If you are committed, patient, and consistent, then any IPL device will work. This device recommends 2-3 times weekly for the first four weeks. Then for weeks 5-6, twice a week. Finally, for weeks 7-8, use once a week. Anything after, I would (MY OPINION) use it once a month for maintenance. Most people want to see results by snapping their fingers, and that isn’t going to happen. Even if you go to a professional and have it done, it takes time. My advice, if you are not in the mood to take the time, don’t have the patience, and/or not going to be committed, then don’t get one of these devices because you would be wasting your money. It took about 4 weeks or 8 treatments before I started to notice results. First, I noticed hair disappearing on the lower part of my legs. My bikini 👙 area had spots where the hair didn’t grow back but other spots where it was finer, thinner & softer hair. Even though I had spots with NO HAIR growing back, I still go over all the areas regardless. My left armpit has no hair growth at this time, but I still do treatments. Once I get to the proper weeks since I first started the treatments, then and only then, I will 🛑 treatments in areas where no hair grows. My legs 🦵🏼 have been frustrating, but it’s working. The problem is that I miss areas each time I do a treatment. There’s no way of getting the entire leg each time. I have come up with a pattern I do that helps me the best. I start at my ankle and go around my leg 🦵🏼 in a circle ⭕️ while spiraling 🌀 up my leg. I found that when I go up and down is when I miss areas/spots the most. Doing a spiral has helped me tremendously. On the days scheduled to do another treatment, I shave 🪒 the areas I will treat. I also exfoliate the areas using Revealer Skin Exfoliator . Then about an half hour after I shave 🪒, I start my treatments. KEEP YOUR LEGS CLEAN AND DRY, AND NO LOTIONS. ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTIVE 👓 GLASSES! Since I shave my underarms first, I start there. Those areas take about 2 minutes each. Then I do my bikini 👙 area and then onto my legs. If I think I forgot a spot I do go back and do treat the spot, but I try to pay attention so I don’t miss any spots. Once complete I either apply Reviver Skin Soothing Gel or USDA Certified Jojoba Oil . Both are soothing, but sometimes I feel I need a decent moisturizer, and Jojoba Oil is my go-to for that. Also, between treatments I do shave 🪒 as I wound normally if I wasn’t doing IPL. Well, that’s how I do each treatment. I also put in my schedule/calendar📅 when I’m supposed to do my next treatment. It is time-consuming, but the results are so worth it. Think of all the money you are going to save by NOT having to buy RAZORS 🪒 anymore. Not to mention the time saved in the shower 🚿. I HOPE THIS HELPS others understand a little about how it works. 👍I am very comfortable using this device and knew this was a commitment and required patience. The instructions for this are a bit confusing, and I was initially overwhelmed. The print is extremely small also, and there are all sorts of warnings and safety precautions before you get to the instructions for use. The device is not very convenient to hold, and it's rather bulky. That can present a problem, especially in hard to reach areas. Before using, you need to determine your skin type (mine is I). Evidently you shouldn't use this if you have very dark skin because it can cause adverse reactions. I'll be honest; I don't think this is for me. The manual started talking about gluing the machine to the skin, crackle sounds, and micronutrients. I was extremely hesitant to put this on my skin after reading all of this. It just seems a bit unsafe and not very pleasant, so I'll stick with shaving. ... show more
