We have 50 chickens and have been looking for a way to provide their grit without taking up run space. These did the trick. The provided D-rings are sturdy and the buckets are sturdy enough to hold something as heavy as chicken grit. It doesn't have holes, so make sure to place it under a covered area. Also, with grit, feed, or oyster shell, it's heavy. You will likely not want to simply hang it on a fence. We nailed a cross bar between two fence posts in our covered fun. The girls love it.

I bought a ton of these. I would give 5 stars for the pan. It's decent, but it is small. The clips are horrible and should not be used outside. They quickly corrode outside and then you can't operate them. I have a bunch that the clip stays open and won't stay on the fence. Then there are others that are stuck where I first put them because you can't get them off. The holes for the clips are small so it will be hard to replace them. To the manufacturer, please put some focus on improving the clips.
