Love this reel for ultra light fishing this 500 reel is super nice for the price, 17.5 pounds of drag is insanely good for a 500 reel. Seems sturdy I’ve yet taken it out fishing so rating might change. But I support this brand I’ve bought there casting rods also and it’s been great so far.

The reel is very good the on ly problem is very hard, when you try to fold the the handle to put it away you have to take the screw out and pull hard to do it I put some oil and still hard, the reel is very smooth on retrieve, I purchased 2 other reels from this company the M1 and HANDING Magic Soul Spinning Fishing Reel and HANDING Magic Shadow Spinning Reel very happy with my purchases

Only "slightly" diggers from the original M1's. Comes in 500, 2K, 3K, 4K, & 5K. New sizes. The main difference besides it being all black? BB is 9+1 over the original 7+1 so it should be smoother while cranking. Also the 500 size has no anti-reverse feature built in.

I am and avid freshwater fisherman with several poles, and ordered this spinning reel to replace one that is 20 years old. The size 3000 reel is medium weight, with an angle appropriate for a 6.5’ medium weight spinning rod. The drag adjustment works well, including fine tuning for your particular needs. The spool is nice, but the finish of the housing has some texture to it which seems unusual (personal opinion) instead of feeling like polished metal. The bail works well and closes fine for a person who holds their pole with their right hand and reels with their left hand. If you do the opposite (reel with your right hand) I would avoid this spinning reel because the bail trip is against the bail when casting with the left hand, making closing the bail by cranking the reel very hard. I also noticed that when I spun the empty reel after unboxing it that it stops free spinning more quickly than other reels I own, suggesting a potential bearing misalignment or issue which could wear with time. Overall it is a very functional spinning reel for a right-handed fisherman. Due to some of the issues I noted it will be on one of my back-up poles and unfortunately can not be used by my left-handed wife.
