This mixer is awesome at low speed so your food doesn't fly all over your counter. The high speed is just like any other hand held. I think people are confusing the quietness off this mixer with lower power because it is very quiet , but has all the power of a loud obnoxious one. I love this hand mixer! Much better than the other one I owned prior. This one has a low speed and doesn’t throw food all over my kitchen. Hated that about my prior hand mixer. This one also has much better quality beaters. They are more heavy duty. So glad I bought this brand. I highly recommend.

I bought this because it has been YEARS since I've owned a hand-held mixer. I like the retro look of it and that it snaps together. I have only had this a short time, but it mixes....perfect for making whipped cream and brownies.

At $45 for this Hamilton Beach Professional 5-Speed Electric Hand Mixer, it is expensive compared to the $20-$30 mixers. However, it weighs more than than many (all???) of the cheap mixers due to a better built motor. It has a real slowwww speed unlike any of the cheap mixers that I have tried and returned. The power at medium to high speed is excellent. The speed adjusting switch is easier to use for people with small (like my wife) hands or large hands like myself. I purchased this because the other one I bought did not start out slow and easy. I ended up with batter in a 360 degree debris field. This started out at a very slow speed and kept all the batter in the bowl! It goes from very slow to very fast. A great product for the price point.

We really like this mixer. It does have a slow start that won't have everything flying out of the bowl. I like the open beaters they are very easy to clean. The whisk is great for making whipped cream. I wasn't willing to pay more to get the mixer in white; as it turns out I really like this color!

This mixer is really nice. I have used it several times and it works well. The low speed is really low, so you can start mixing without flour going everywhere. The higher speeds have a lot of power. The holder for the mixer and utensils is an added bonus.
