The media could not be loaded. This is the most versatile coffee maker I have ever used, and it has also made some of the best coffee I have ever tasted. The coffee maker is very easy to set up and comes with the carafe, and k-cup attachments. The coffee maker itself is very straightforward whether you pair it with Alexa or use it as is. The coffee maker is essentially two brewers in one (but can still only use one side at a time), as it has the area for the large carafe on the left side with its own built-in water reservoir, while the k-cup side has its own separate removable water reservoir. The coffee maker can still only use one side at a time, but it has incredible versatility for those wanting their own cup of tea, coffee or other k-cup style drink versus making an entire batch if they choose. On the carafe side, the water dispenser can be moved out of the way to make it easy to dispose of the ground coffee when the brewing is done. Aside from that, the cup stand on the k-cup side is also removable to fit larger cups and thermoses, and also includes a ground coffee adapter for the k-cup side if you want to use your own coffee. To use the coffee maker, you interact with the touch screen display to toggle between the carafe and single mode (along with choosing the size of cup/thermos for the single mode) and toggle between bold and regular strength coffee. When you are ready to brew, you can hit it to enable the brew now option. After that, it will get to work immediately on brewing your beverage. With Alexa, this process is surprisingly simple. In the app, you can just add this as a coffee maker, scan the QR code on the back of the coffee maker, connect it to Wifi, and you can then control it from the app. The app will even give you information about the current brewing status and even the freshness of the coffee. You can also make adjustments on how long for the maker to keep the carafe warm after the brewing is complete and more. Additionally, when paired to the app it automatically configures the clock for you in real time instead of having to input it manually. Now, as far as the coffee itself goes, it is amazing. I like my coffee strong but I usually have to load other makers with double the usual amount of coffee for carafe brews to get it to my preferred strength. With this, I no longer need to double it up. When using the "bold" mode, the coffee was even stronger than I was used to (which is a good thing) and I don't know how the maker works to make it more bold compared to using regular mode, but it is definitely stronger. I've been using the same coffee beans and ground coffee for a long time, so for this to be significantly stronger is surprising to me as I always thought the quality of your beans and the roast is what determines strength, but this coffee maker has shown me that I was wrong. The coffee made by this is fresh, crisp and deliciously robust. In the carafe mode, it takes about 15-20 minutes for a full brew when using the bold setting, and in single mode, the k-cups will brew in less than a couple of minutes. Overall, this is an incredibly versatile coffee maker that allows you to make nearly everything you could want, and it does it in a reliable and consistent way. The smart capabilities are an excellent touch for those wanting to monitor the status of their coffee while getting ready for work, and the coffee brewed is perfect. I highly recommend it!

Nice looking maker and I like the side one cup maker on the side. Was purchased to have a maker that could be peogramed to come on about the time I get up in the morning. Problem is, it will NOT STAY COUPLED WITH ALEXA! Bought another one and returned this one and guess what…..SAME ISSUE. Sometimes (not always) will start the next day after re-programming, but not the next day. Customer service from HB….NONEXISTANT!! I called the Alexa CS, and they said to delete the app and redownload it. This would assure I had the latest revision. Didn’t help. Bottom line…FIND ANOTHER BRAND! THIS ONE IS ALSO GOING BACK. Decided to exchange for another new unit and got the same results…..Alexa will not stay connected and shows in app, or says if voice command is used, “Coffee maker not responding”. Will return before Feb. 21, but may try and contact HB again. Of the thousands or millions of these sold, someone is getting ONE that works. (Re)contacted HB Customer Service via email (apparently nobody in HDCS has a telephone) explaining the issues with the three C-Pots I received that would not come on with Alexa routines. Two days later, I got a response asking for more info and the series number. My response follows: “Per your request, the series number is F3132CE. I programmed Alexa as shown in the attached photo, although I have tried several variations of these commands, also with no luck. Usually get a “Coffee Maker not responding. For the past three days, I have moved the start time forward to see if it would come on, but no luck. A couple of times last week, it came on with a Voice Command to my Alexa Dot (newest version - Generation 5). Also, I have deleted the CM entirely and re-scanned the barcode and started over three different times. Sometimes it would start as instructed a few times then quit. This is the third FlexBrew I purchased. Sent the first one back to Amazon after purchasing another one. When it wouldn’t consistently work, I had Amazon replace (exchange) it with the current one. I have a 1G internet that is fastest available and is not overloaded, especially at 5:30 in the morning. If you have any ideas or see something I am doing wrong, please advise. If not, this one will be returned on Feb 19th, and my review updated.“ No more email from HBCS, BUT, a few days later, a package was dropped off at my front door. A new HBFB to replace the one I had! However, this NEW one doesn’t work any better than the others. I’m keeping it and hit the “Brew Now” button if it does not come on. Actually, Alexa was able to make coffee one time in the last couple of weeks I have had this one. I have decided “The Hell With It” and will keep this one since it was free, but my recommendation remains …. DO NOT BUY THIS CM IF YOU WANT COFFEE WHEN YOU GET UP IN THE MORNING!
