  • Works very well!
I got the rear view and side view cameras, and am very pleased with them. The picture clarity is incredible, and the installation was fairly easy. Plan on using the old gasket if your trailer is prewired, and buy the adapter kit. Plan on using silicon calking to seal it. I cut the old gasket to fit the adapter bracket. If you have problems with the camera connecting, check the polarity (they are polarity sensitive). The cameras are well made, work great in day or night mode, and have great field of view. I now have 3 cameras and may get the fourth for the truck to see the hitch when hooking up the trailer. I have already recommended them to a couple of friends. *** Update: I had problems with the monitor rebooting every three minutes. I sent a message to support, and was very pleased with the results. I received a new replacement monitor in a couple of days, and got it installed in my truck and synced with the cameras a couple of days later. Not only is the product great, but the support is fantastic. ... show more

  • Best customer service!
U have a30 for travel trailer and looked at a ton of reviews before purchasing a camera system. I am so glad I did because everything about the Haloview system is top notch! I got the 2 marker light cameras and the backup camera which I mounted on the rear of my RV. The picture quality day and night is clear as can be. I had an issue with the rear camera connection. It would come and go on my first couple trips so I purchased an outside mount for the monitor assuming it was because of the distance. The 3rd trip I took the camera wouldn't connect at all. I removed the camera and hooked it directly to the motor to re-pair the camera (same as initial install). Still no signal. I wrote the seller and his response was indie. Immediate. After answering a couple questions about what I attempted to rectify the issue the seller asked for a picture of the camera. Again, he immediately responded and sent me a replacement camera free of charge. Two days later I received the camera and installed it. The connection is perfect now! The system is a little but more expensive than some others but the piece of mind knowing what is around you not only while traveling but also when you park is well worth the cost. When you add on the customer service and the way Haloview stands behind their product put this system heads above their competition! Don't waste your money on the others buy the best Haloview! This is NOT a paid review. I did not receive anything in return for posting a review. ... show more

  • Not hard to set up -Updated again may 2020
I received my order ahead of schedule, and was apprehensive since YouTube videos make it seem so easy. The "trigger wires" and ability to have more than one camera may be in my future, but now just a backup cam for my enclosed trailer, later my motorhome. I brought home a battery for testing, and wired the cam and monitor, done. They were only a foot apart, but hey, start small, right? Without any trigger wires, and a few clips test leads, I connected power and voila. Picture, cam 4, backup with lines to be adjusted later.. Will get my ladder out next when it stops raining! As advertised, sound and picture seem excellent, in my living room at least. installation to my trailer next! Well. installation was a failure I thought, but moving the receiver into close proximity did not do the trick, but a week later I had the opportunity to try again, this time out in the open spaces around town. Merely plugged in the monitor, sat it on the console, and hooked up the trailer. I THINK the setting after going thru the various problems I had was just putting AutoScan to on, Cam 4, which gave me the backup lines. After just driving to the exit of my trailer storage, I had a picture and sound, like it had never NOT worked.. I hooked into the trailer lights, so running with lights gave the camera power all the time. I am very pleased it was no big thing, but I think I was too close to my garage, and the metal trailer (not a camper) and garage door was too much interference. I sat a couple cones on the door and adjusted (slightly) the lines. DONE! No static. no fuzzy, no flickers. I turned off lights and it went off, turned lights on, comes right back. Next day: not working again.. uh oh I retapped the clearance light with a smaller gage "clip" and have had no sunsequent problems with connectivity. I have used it several times and have yet to connect the trailer to my RV, 36 ft king, adding a few feet to the range of the unit. but every time pulling with my Yukon, the camera has been 100% and was nice backing into enclosed or tight spaces. I am thinking about adding more cameras for side clearance and safety. ... show more

  • Great pic & sync@ 55ft for me. Easy software. Great value.
Pros - Sync. I have on the back of a 31 foot trailer & crew cab truck. It syncs up within 2 seconds and gives a good feed even at 70mph. - Picture. While it says 720 HD, it's a clearer picture than another vendor's 1080 HD setup I tried. - Software. Very straight forward h easy to use. I found many of the cameras use a similar screen & software, but compared to the 1st other vendor's, this was better. I liked being able to control brightness & which camera gets the sound from the front panel without having to go into the menu. - Sound is very sensitive & reasonable quality. - SD card for recording is easily accessible click style. The other system I tried I had to use a screwdriver to get to the SD Card slot. - It came with much of the camera has bracket already setup. The other vendor I tried I had to figure out how to assemble all the parts. - Mounting. I found I could use a magnetic mount for the screen in the truck, then easily grab it & put in the camper to use for surveillance. It didn't mount on the Furion bracket like I hoped as it pointed down too far, but I found a way to make it work by removing the angled Furion mount but left the waterproofed base pad. - Power requirement. The camera states 10V-32V. My system was putting out 12.8 and the 1st system from another vendor didn't work... wouldn't sync up more than 20 feet. Haloview works great at about 55ft. -Support. I was out 11 months from install & the infrared went out. They had a replacement to swap out sent to me in 2 days. Regular concise & engaged emails worked better than many phone support techs tried to their corporate support scripts. Cons: - It didn't mount on my Furion bracket like I hoped as it pointed down too far, and the antenna didn't stick upright, but I found a way to make it work by removing the angled Furion mount but left the waterproofed base pad and used their extended mount bracket. They were helpful in finding the right bracket. ... show more

  • Good quality and good customer service.
The camera seems well made and the screen is clear although the installation instructions are a little light on information. I did test the camera and screen before installation and am really glad I did because the screen made a terrible high pitched sound when on but Haloview customer service sent me an updated firmware with easy to follow installation instructions that fixed the problem immediately. The distance between the camera on the back of our travel trailer to the screen on the dash of our truck is almost 45' but the picture is perfect with only slightly reduced frame rate at highway speeds. The system has already paid for itself in peace of mind while driving and being able to see behind the trailer as I am guided has made backing the rig into our tight parking area much easier. Other than the firmware hiccup, the only negative I see is that the antenna on the camera means the camera has to be angled down so that you only see fairly close behind. Since this is really what I was looking for it is not a problem for me. ... show more

  • Excellent Product
I installed the camera and monitor myself, and have used it a couple of times now. It went in easy and provides an excellent quality picture when driving down the road, and backing into a spot at the park. My camper came prewired for a Furrion camera system, so I also purchased the HaloView adapter, which uses the same screw spacing as the Furrion mount - eliminating me having to drill more holes in the fiberglass exterior of my camper. One thing to note - I forgot between the install and first use that I needed to turn on my truck lights, or at least the running lights, to provide power to the camera. I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong, and all I had to do was turn my lights from automatic (this was during the day and the lights weren't coming on) to running lights. This system was a good bit less expensive, has a great picture, and includes a larger monitor than the Furrion system. I'd buy it again and recommend it to anyone. ... show more

  • Works very well, overall. Requires a little bit of DIY.
These cameras work really well. I have one installed at the roof line of a 35' long 13' high fifth wheel trailer in place of the pre-wire Furrion. After trying to use and being unhappy with the Haloview metal adapter, I chose to modify the Furrion shell. I drilled a hole for an SMA extension cable so the antenna would be relocated to the top of the shell. This allows the Haloview camer to mostly fit the Furrion shell. I say mostly because it still is not ideal in that range of adjustment for thew camera is very limited. Haloview could very easily address this. The camera has never failed to connect or lost connection under any circumstance. Remember to pair the camera to the display before it is mounted in a location that makes it difficult to access the pairing button on the camera, like at the roof line of a 13' tall fifth wheel. Yes, I did that. The manufacturer should consider making a direct bolt on mount for the various pre-wired solutions (e.g. Furrion for one). This would make installation much easier. The Furrion adapter bracket by Haloview is not a good solution. I bought one and ended up not using it due to concerns about rain damage. The Furrion shell selas properly and directs rain away from the coach. It would be straightforward to create a Furrion replacement better suited to the Haloview camera that would make it basically plug and play. I considered 3D printing one out of ABS or PETG and perhaps will someday. This would make the install very clean. As it comes there's more DIY than some might wish to take on. The other use is putting one of these cameras on a camera tripod and using the optional battery pack to power the camera. Put the tripod in the parking location and use that image to help guide the rig in. The long distance these cameras transmit makes this feasible. This portable tripod can also be used to aide in hitching up. Very handy, works great. ... show more

  • Almost Perfect
This backup camera is a great device and a super buy. It's easy to install, presents a superb picture, is strong and well made, and works for me almost perfectly. Its night vision is good enough and what it lacks in night sensitivity is made up by its connectivity. The only problem I have with this camera system is its limited use as a rear camera when mounted on a vertical surface. That limitation is the result of the short camera bracket included with the basic kit. The short bracket mounted on the back of our motorhome only supports use as a backup camera. We wanted a rear camera that would function like a rear-view mirror, but the short standard issue bracket limits swiveling to a higher view. Sure, it would work if we mounted it on the roof, but who wants to drill holes in their RV roof? Haloview's answer is an optional long-armed bracket that permits use of the camera in any mode. The only reason I gave this camera kit 4 stars instead of the 5 that it really deserves is that the long bracket should be part of the basic kit, which would provide customers with a full range of mounting options. At the very least, Haloview should clearly advertise the short bracket's limitations and market the product with a choice of brackets. ... show more
