Great air pump, but I dont feel it is a 8000 gallon air pump

First of all, they sent correct pump in my second time purchase. They previously sent a Ox-generation pump 7000 to me. That pump is more expensive than this one, but only 5000 gallon. It is great, but somehow I expected more for a 8000 gallon. I tried to hook up 3 ways: 2 goes main pond 5ft deep, 1 f
or a goldfish pond 2ft. The main seems lacking of air pump, with just one pump air. Goldfish pond does not have air go into. I gave up the 3-ways idea and just focus on main pond

I was not expecting this type of quality. My Pond is roughly 14 feet deep at the deep end. I made my own diffuser with a piece of tubing, and drilled a bunch of tiny holes in it. I also ordered a standard air compressor hose which does not need weight. My pond is roughly 1 acre. It stays on 24 hours
a day from May thru November. It is almost silent. Moves alot of air through the water. It's been a couple years now. Stays outside even in the rain.

It is a good aeration product however it comes with two round air stones. One of which cracked in half on me the first week I owned it, rendering it useless

The media could not be loaded. I have a small pond in Northern Minnesota, arguably I will have about the coldest pond winter in the US. I need something to keep my 20 inch deep 10 foot round pond & fish from freezing. I was using small water pumps, they work, but as the height of water/ice changes du
ring the winter, the jet of water height changes and creates issues. I bought this air bubbler in hopes the air will do a better job since the water level won't affect the performance. I found limited reviews from cold climate users, so this will be my first year test. I read about keeping it out of inclement weather, I found my local hardware store has battery boxes for Rvs & boats. A battery box was perfect! This aerator fits in and only needed one hole drilled for the hose. The electrical cord fits out one of the several top cover openings meant for cables and those openings should allow for ample air supply and heat exchange (for those in hotter climates). It will keep rain out and should keep snow out as well since I keep it under my covered patio that only gets small amounts of blowing snow. I can't yet attest to the durability or if it will work in the 20 below zero Minnesota winter, but I'll update this if it fails to work. Edit: This was a big success and made it thru winter without any issues. It ran solid even in the 20 below temps. The aeration didn't change in the fluctuating temps. The bubbler disks didn't freeze up and the air kept the pond open the majority of the time. When it was really cold in January, occasionally the entire pond would ice over, but the ice dome above the bubbles was thin and easy to chip open, this was only an occasional need. I am very happy with the performance of this set up!

The air pump is solid and produces a powerful output. The weighted hose was just as advertised and sank down into the water effortlessly. The 8 inch air stones were great at pushing out voluminous bubbles. The provided hose clamps must have come from another device. When relaxed, they shouild have be
en smaller than the hose, so that squeezing them would cause them to open up to be fitted around the connection. They were all larger than the hose diameter and useless in setting up the system. If you buy this aerator system, you will need to provide your own hose clamps. The system works well so far, but has only been operating for a few days. It seems very solid and well made, but time will tell.

Far better than Aquascape 75000 Pond Air 2
