These things do, in fact, have seams in the corners of the face of the frame. The intent of these is to be weather-resistant for direct outdoor use, and having cut seams in the corners isn't exactly beneficial to that end. I contacted the company VEVOR directly. They apologized and suggested I use CAULK on the seams. Absolutely not! Crazy to suggest that on brand new doors. The aesthetics of doing so would look atrocious. Another thing to consider is the mounting frame depth is great...if you're mounting to the frame of the outdoor kitchen you're building. If you put 1/2" sheathing of any kind (fiberboard, cement board, whatever) over top of the frame, the mounting holes don't reach far enough back to mount directly to the frame in an appropriate way. Ultimately I think this is one of those "get what you pay for" things. But let's be clear. These still aren't cheap. It's less than $10 in materials, bent, minimally welded, and shipped out.

The mounting flange on all of Vevor's doors are too short. If you are installing these into an opening that is surrounded by tile you won't be able to get a screw into wood. The mounting holes will line up with the mortar bed. The other issue I have is they put an ugly yellow sticker with their name on the face of this. The sticker is really hard to remove. Goo Gone wouldn't do it. I had to use a heat gun, razor blade scraper and carburator cleaner to get it off. 😡. These doors serve their purpose and look good but could be made better for very little expense. Don't put and ugly sticker on them and make them easier to install with wider mounting flanges.
