  • Cute little solar water feature
It is what I thought it would be. Works fine. Love the different fountain heads. You need to have it in fairly deep water though. I suspected this would be the case but in a shallower container like a birdbath, water evaporates quickly and it ceases operation. I had to put it in my deep pond but that’s okay. ... show more

  • A powerful little fountain
Overall it does what it advertises and it’s been running great for me so far. It looks nice in the black bowl with pebbles I placed it in and blends in well. The battery life is very good so far and I haven’t had any issues since purchasing it a few weeks ago. The only negative I can think of is that it’s very lightweight and small (which some people might like), so it floats around and isn’t stationary in the large bowl I placed it in. The water can shoot up very high as well may or may not be a plus for some people. Putting in less water helps regulate it. It’s under direct sun all day on my deck (haven’t tested with partial shade) and continuously shoots out water until it gets low, so I would say it works very well for a small solar fountain! ... show more

  • Hard to stay center in the birdbath
It's a nice little fountain and it works well when it's in the sun. As soon as the shade hits, it will stop working. It has little plastic arms to try to keep it center in the birdbath or pond. But if the wind blows it to one side or the other the water goes over the side, drains out of the birdbath and then stops working. I wish there was a way to keep it center. I ended up slipping plastic straws over the arms to make them longer to fit the size of my birdbath so it would center it better. It seemed to work, but again as soon as the wind blows, it blows all the water over the side as the fountain is working, drains the birdbath and then it doesn't work that's why I gave it four stars ... show more

  • Works as described...almost!
This is tough because the fountain works pretty much as it is described and it has lasted over a year of basically non-stop, continual use during spring, summer and fall seasons in Ohio. We are using this in a 27" bird bath that gets full sun exposure for ~8 hours a day, then is partially shaded in the late afternoon and evening. So why only 3-stars? Primarily for understating the flaws... 1. The note in the description about the spray height being directly related to the sunlight intensity is an understatement to say the least! The ONLY time you will see tall spray like in the pictures is when there is complete full sun exposure with absolutely ZERO obstruction. Slight haze from a humid summer day?...nope, that's not enough sun. Now, with that said, it does run when there is little to no sun, but it's just a trickle. That's enough to keep the water agitated, but not much else, and that has served it's purpose for us at least. 2. The description mentions "a larger birdbath is recommended to prevent splashing out of the birdbath". Again, that's quite an understatement! We have what I would consider a fairly large bird bath at 27 inches in diameter, but on the rare occasions we have enough full sun, anything but the flat spray nozzle will result in most of the water being sprayed out of the bath onto the ground. If even a slight breeze picks up, then most of the water ends up on the ground and in a matter of minutes the bird bath is empty! So I'm not sure what bird bath would be big enough to use the other tall spray nozzles unless it's a small pond. Also, keep in mind that it floats, so it hardly ever stays in the exact center of the bath; so even with a huge bird bath, it would eventually float to the edge and you would end up with the same problem. 3. Finally, the thing is a magnet for algae and debris. It's not necessarily hard to clean, but it does require frequent (basically daily) cleaning. Because the entire surface area of the fountain is in constant contact with the water, I think it also makes the water get dirty faster as well. 4. I don't think the birds care about the fountain. They use the bird bath, but I have never seen them use the fountain's spray - partly because we use only the flat nozzle just to keep the water agitated and provide a little sound, and nothing more; so there is rarely any spray for them to play in. To sum up... we've been relatively happy with the fountain and the limited functionality that we get out of it, but are looking for other, non-fountain options that will run more consistently and have less surface area contacting the water, but still provide the sound and agitation we want. But if you have no wind and no clouds and a gigantic bird bath and don't mind taking it apart everyday to clean, this fountain will work for you! ... show more

  • Great Buy
Works very well. Different fittings to choose from to make a variety of water spray. Must be in some sun. Will not work in full shade( solar). I would buy again. Delivered fast. Easy to put together.

  • Works well with the sun. The amount of sun determines the water pressure. Low sun, low pressure.
Just adorable. It works well in our birdbath. As the sun goes down it stops working which was stated in the description. We love it.

  • Great stream of water but pay attention to bath diameter
On all settings the water jet, especially on sunny days is fantastic. But—-the jet is so vigorous it overshoots the 12” diameter bath I purchased on this site with the jet. Within an hour all the water was out of the fountain onto the soil. 2nd mistake: I cut the plastic sticks too short so it can’t be clamped in place (my fault not the product. I am unsure how to solve the water loss problem—keep it in the shade, buy a bigger waterbath, try reorder the plastic rod, don’t cut, and weight them down with rocks. ... show more

  • Pretty
Love loves this little thing. Works when the sunshine keeps the flowers. I have around it watered and look very pretty. Only thing is with it, you must fill the container up quite often with the water because with the overspread. It runs out of water quite quickly. But only works when sun is out, picture was taken when raining ... show more
