Update to my review posted below...the company contacted me right away and replaced the bent shades within a week!! I appreciate their customer service and would buy a third set any day!! (Original post...Just bought my second set of these great little lamps. First set purchased is used in my living room. Sturdy and petite but classy. Second set just arrived and purchased for bedroom. Box was fine but both lamp shades have several bent areas and are damaged. Don't let this keep you from buying these great lamps. I believe my second purchase was just a fluke.) ... show more

These lamps were way bigger than I thought and that is not something you see everyday on Amazon. They are actually too big for what I was hoping to use the for, but I am making it work. They came in a few pieces and you just have screw things in and put in the lightbulbs. I give off a nice light and work for me just fine. I would just measure them and hold up the measurements where you want to use them to make sure they work for the space. I did not do this and the spaceI wanted to use one of these for -- its a very very tight fit and looks a little stupid. Again, it works, and I will deal with it. The price is really good, they are decent quality, and they are a set of two. So to me it doesn't matter that they're a little big. It also took me a really long time to find a set of 2 for under 40$. Definitely a good buy. ... show more

These lamps are a great deal for the money! They are on the smaller side, but that's what I wanted. They do not come with bulbs, so I didn't rate it off of brightness, because obviously that will depend on what type of bulbs you are using. People are commenting on the fact that the lamp shade comes right off. It does NOT. Please see the photos I've attached...you need to take that beige plastic piece off and then put the lamp shade on and then put the beige tightener back on in order to secure the lamp shade, and then you put the bulb in. I had these lighbulbs handy, but I may replace them as they are quite bright. The shade casts a warm golden look and makes the room look cozy. These came packaged well and were super easy to put together. I think it took me a total of five minutes or less to open up the packaging and put them together and plug them in. I definitely recommend these! (please excuse my slightly off-center art on the wall...I'm re-centering it currently lol) ... show more
