I think this hair straightener is very good especially for the cost. The heat plates are ceramic and it heats up quickly. There’s 6 heat settings from 266f up to 446f with the ability to do straight hair or waves. There’s unit also shuts itself off after one hour just in case it’s accidentally left on. It also has the negative ion feature which is supposed to tone down static in the hair.

First of all, I love the metallic color. This iron is long enough to have wide heating paddles. You can handle the swathes easily, due to a toggle at the end of the iron. It helps hold the plates closed. Push the other way, and it allows the iron to open. I know, it was added for another reason. How-some-ever, for those of us who battle arthritis, carpal tunnel, and other joint and muscle issues that is a perk. You will develop a rhythm. You can clearly watch the heat and adjust it due to the button on the side, near the on/off switch. The numbers on the display are big enough to see what you are doing. The cord swivels, no tangles to worry with, and this baby heats well enough to handle the most belligerent curl patterns. It is well work the price. I can see it becoming one of your favorite tools. A girl just can’t have too many of those, can she?

This is a great looking flat iron. Of course looks don't affect performance but it does feel nicer to use pretty things. The ceramic plates are great and help smooth out your hair. If you can get this on a coupon it's a real steal. I like using it to flip my face layers away from my face after straightening. You can also easily use this for beachy waves. Just wrap, twist and keep the end out, holding onto them. Let your waves cool and lightly pick out. You definitely need to use a heat protectant with this and all hot tools. This flat iron heats up quickly. I did notice a chemical smell the first use so I heated it at the highest settings for a couple of minutes, let it cool and wiped it off. I do wish more hot tool came with a settings lock because it is easy to hit the buttons to change the settings, so I do check it periodically during use to make sure it's still at the temperature I need. I have fine hair so I always use it on one of the lowest settings. I also wish it came with a velcro winder minder to keep the cord organized. All in all though, this should suit your needs.

This hair straightener iron is really nice looking. It looks well made and the quality of the material looks good too. Plugging in for the first time, the iron heated up fast. The metal part do get hot so I had to be careful when using it to avoid getting burn. The package does come with a glove so it is best to use a glove when using this on high heat. Changing the heat is easy and the display is easy to read. The display also looks really good to me. This is really easy to use and it styles the hair well.
