I was very skeptical at first, but I am pleasantly surprised with this hair dryer. It seems to have a gazillion options and it is quite powerful for such a compact dryer. I've been longing for full powered dryer that was easy to travel with and this offers both. While I'm used to having separate controls for heat and fan speed, this kind of does and doesn't offer that. I say it doesn't because the same button controls both the fan and the heat. If you want 95°C (203°F - and yes the dryer is in Celcius) on normal mode, you have to have the fan speed on the highest level. Yet, it feels perfectly hot enough for me on the first fan speed level which is 75°C (167°F). I guess the higher fan speed has a cooling effect so the temperature increases, perhaps? I don't know. But there are enough other options under the Mode button. There's an extra care mode which is at a cool temperature and a child mode which is even cooler. So in this regard, you can control temperature by using the Mode button. My only pet peeve for which I took off one star is that it's REALLY easy to push the button and change the mode or fan speed unintentionally. I guess I tend to hold closer to the base so I'll have to get used holding the dryer from below the controls. As far as it being quiet, it's definitely quieter than my Conair Blackbird, yet my cat still makes a run for it when I turn it on. But it definitely dried my hair way quicker than my Conair does. It's also much lighter than my Conair. The cord length could be a bit longer but it's the same length as other dryers I've had over the years. My Conair just happens to have an extra long cord which I like. All in all, it's a keeper for me. At the $100 price point it's comparable, yet more affordable than some of the fancy hair dryer competitors. I just hope it has longevity.

Experimenting with different hair dryers, I found that the CFTEL Hair Dryer has been an blissful experience for me, especially with its powerful 150,000 RPM brushless motor and 8 variable temperature settings. As a nurse who works through odd hours at any time of the day, I often find myself in need of a quick and efficient way to dry my hair after a rainy day at the hospital. One particular evening, I came home drenched from a downpour, and this hair dryer worked wonders. Its high-speed motor dried my hair in no time, and the adjustable temperature settings allowed me to find the perfect balance between speed and care, leaving my hair smooth and frizz-free. If you need something that gets the job done at half the time compared to those well known brands but at an affordable cost, this is the guy for you.

I recently ordered a version of the dyson air wrap and love the ion drying features so wanted to give this one a try. I have incredibly thick and wavy hair so the diffuser is a fantastic addition as well to prevent unwanted frizz, plus the tip is on a swivel making it comfortable to use at whatever angle you choose. I can appreciate the different power levels to choose from and the high-speed, combined it dries my hair in no time and leaves it very soft and shiny. The 8 temperature settings and 3 speed options offer excellent versatility, allowing me to customize the settings to suit my hair's needs. The LED display screen is very sleek, but I do find the settings are changed too easily by the buttons while in use by mistake. It is very lightweight making use a breeze. A cool feature is a setting for kids for a lower speed and temperature, plus the noise level is very quiet! Overall, this hair dryer performs exceptionally well. Highly recommended for anyone with thick hair looking for a reliable and powerful dryer.

This hair dryer works well. I have tried a few lately and this one works well and is right there in the pack for a good ionic hair dryer. I found the display and the symbols really hard to follow or understand even after reading the little instruction sheet. I just had to keep tapping until I found what I needed (temp and speed) to get the job done. I would give this 3.5 stars for that and because I wish it came with a diffuser.

This would not exaclty be my go to hair dryer but it works great. It's quiet and drys hair very quickly! It has a child setting which is amazing for drying my kids hair and not have to worry about getting too hot and burn the scalp. The con was the fact that even if I wanted it to be slightly hotter at times it only went up to 94 degrees and Im used to a little more heat at times... but it works great and is powerful, so I am happy with it.

I've tried MANY curly hair tools and products over the years - LOTS. I gave up on dryers for a while because my curls do so much better with no heat.. but when we moved to the midwest and I experienced the "lake effect" for the first time in my life - that changed. I am also dealing with transitioned silver hair too - so now, it's much more sensitive to heat and heat damage. I have to be careful what I use on it even more now that it's silver. It's thick too and takes a while to dry even though it's only bob length/cut. This dryer worked well, I would say it's getting there.... The cooler temps will always do better with curls, but usually not dry as fast - this one, surprisingly, did work quickly even with the cooler setting. I use the warmest setting as little as possible and only dry my hair about 75-80% total so I can avoid frizz and keep the shape of my curls, as well as the color of my silver. I like how lightweight this dyer is and it's simple - nothing too complex as per settings and controls. I do wish it had a diffuser with it, or another attachment to help with drying - especially for curls. But so far, this has done well, and I will be needing it more often now that colder weather can be more frequent out here. If you're curly - this is worth a shot! I did use a sock diffuser I had of my own that does help and keeping them a bit of a distance from your curls can also help...
