It does what I need it to do. I have 2c hair. Keep your expectations realistic. If you have textured baby hairs you’ll still need flat iron to get them to lay flat. The outcome of your blowout will depend on the pre-existing health of your hair, the hair products used, and your technique when handling the brush. I bought this because I no longer had access to my sisters revlon blowdryer brush and because I wanted to have the option to curl my hair. I was torn between the shark and this product. I ultimately decided to go with the magic 7 due to it costing about 1/3 of the price and because I don’t style my hair with heat often. My blowouts are comparable to when I used the revlon brush. There is a slight learning curve when using the curlers but after a few attempts I got the hand of it. I use them to add more volume to my blowouts. The dryer attachment is great. I haven’t used the round brush or sleek brush yet. I don’t find the attachments to be wobbly like other reviewers have mentioned. The placement of the buttons is a bit inconvenient at first but you’ll learn to keep your hand lower. I like that I’m only one press away from high heat to cool shooting my hair. The unit feels sturdy not too heavy. Doesnt have a smell. I bought this back in January on 2025. I’m leaving a review because my experience with customer service was fast and hassle free. My unit stopped working (user error and well past amazons return/customer support window) and I contacted their corporate customer service through their extended warranty product) page on their website to request a repair or replacement. They only requested pictures and a video showing them their issue. I received an entirely new kit shipped from Amazon within in 5 days of me sending them the pictures. Tips for better blowout: after showering and applying heat protectant and/or root spray, use the blow dryer to rough dry your hair to 50-70% dry. If you start with the brush attachments right after the shower you’re going to increase the risk of breakage. Go by layers starting at the bottom. Hair comes out less frizzy when you rotate the brush as you make your way down to the tips. If you want volume, brush from underneath your hair. If you're slow or have a lot of hair, have a spray bottle handy to dampen what is left to brow dry if it’s gotten too dry. All in all, for the price, I think it’s very much worth it. Does it perform just as well as the Shark? Idk and idc to find out unless I break it again and my extended warranty has expired or I’m gifted one.

I purchased this air styler for travel. I have been using a Dyson Airwrap for more than 2 years now. It’s a great tool, but I have some cruise vacations planned in the upcoming year and by all accounts, the Dyson is not going to work on the ships. The Dyson has also failed at guest ranch vacations. I specifically needed something that operated at 110v. Side note - in the product description, it says this runs at 110v but the box says “up to 125v). I’m guessing the 125 is used at high heat/high speed setting? I used this styler yesterday. I have nearly waist length hair (w tie in extensions). This styler dried and styled my hair more quickly than the Dyson. It does get hotter (specifically the barrels) and does NOT have a cool shot button/setting (hence saving 10 seconds per section). I was concerned that without the cool shot and per other reviews, that my curls would not hold. However, 24 hours (and a night’s sleep) later, they are still holding very well. I use the blow dryer, small brush and barrel attachments. I used the glove only to remove the attachments (you must use this to swap the barrels at least) and a couple of times to push the hair ends around the barrels. They get crazy hot, so you might want to start at a lower heat setting and see if it produces the results you want. The coanda effect is really strong w this unit, so it really pulled the hair around the barrels without much fuss. As a side note, you don’t need a glove w the Dyson, but you’re also paying $400 more for the Dyson, so it’s a small inconvenience comparably. There were a lot of complaints about the attachment locking mechanism - I thought it was pretty sturdy and functioned correctly. You have to really twist the barrel when attaching. I also read reviews about the button placement. This was not an issue for me either. You have to press the power button for an extended couple of seconds to turn on/off. Button placement is similar to the Dyson, but these are actual press buttons, and the Dyson has a slide button for power/cool shot and separate slide buttons for speed and heat level. You have to leave the barrels out for a while before stowing them in the included travel bag, unlike the Dyson that you can put away as soon as you are done. I will provide an updated review after my upcoming trips to advise if it worked on the ships and the guest ranch and if the device lasted through those trips. In all, so far for $125, this product is a steal. I’m hoping it lasts for longer than just a handful of uses, as other reviewers have reported.
