I always wondered why my hair always looked so different after it was dried at a hair solon. I could not figure it out, because I tell them not to use any product in my hair, as I am too sensitive to the fragrances. It seemed like it had to be the hair dryer, which did not add up to me. Well, now I know, it WAS the hair dryer with negative ions. 'Lo and Behold' it really does make a difference in regard to smoothness/no frizz and also adds shine. I did not find it to be quieter though? It has a different tone than my old cheap one, higher pitched, which may have added to what I perceived as louder. When I first used it, I was in a hurry and, so unlike me, I did not read the manual first. I wondered why it did not heat - user error! I figured it out after a bit to find that it actually had multiple heat settings as well as the no heat/cool air. Great! It has a built in strap to wind up the cord. What I do miss though, is a loop of some sort to be able to hang it from a hook. Really wish it had that, guess I will have devise something, as I need to be able to hang it on a hook in the bathroom closet. I have small hands, but did not find it difficult to hold, as some other reviews mentioned. I like that the accessory attaches magnetically, very nice! This comes very nicely boxed! If gifting it, that is a nice touch. One thing that you may need to keep in mind is the type of hair you have. I have medium-long, very fine hair and it tangles very easily. The air force of this dryer did tangle it. I almost always just let my wavy hair air dry, unless I am in a hurry and don't have time to wait for it to dry. Using a hair dryer like this, straightens my hair, removing the natural waves. It may be a trade off if you want smooth straight hair vs natural curl. Depends on the style you want at the time or if you need the quick drying of a hair dryer, regardless. As far as price, I have no idea in regard to that. I was amazed at the listed price of almost $100. Had no idea a portable hair dryer would cost that much. I would not have ever tried a hair dryer for that price, so very cool that it was offered on Vine so that I could try it and that I also solved the mystery of the hair salon 'trick' of negative ion hair dryers ;) If the price of this type of hair dryer isn't an issue, I would definitely recommend this Gaabor hair dryer.

The great space saving light weight design of this hairdryer is spectacular! It barely takes any space on your countertop. It is superpower full and it dries your hair in no time. It’s light which I absolutely love! The combinations you can make with power and temperatures are super interesting and I love that the airflow control nozzle has a very strong magnet so it won’t come off easily. It’s definitely a serious upgrade to what hair dryers used to be.

Adds strong drying capacity and looks so cool. Would like to be able to use this and not worry about dropping because it is so contemporary looking.

Reviewing Gaabor brand, 1400 watts Ionic hair dryer, blue. This hair dryer is lightweight, and easy to use. The attachment is magnetic, which is nicer than having to snap it on, I find attachments tend to fall off during use at times, but with this one being magnetic, you won't have to burn your hand trying to put it back on, (yes, I managed to knock this one off). I love the color, it's a very nice blue, not obnoxious and bright. Airflow is great, though I'm not sure I'd put my hair inside that tunnel like in the picture...I'm just not that brave I guess. Sound level is quieter than my old clunky hair dryer, but it's still a hair dryer so it's going to make some noise. Seems to dry my hair faster too, and i have very thick long hair. I'm going to update my review if anything change in the next few months of use. I have noticed a lot of price fluctuation with this though, from $100 down to $75 and currently with a $25 coupon, making it now $50. I have no idea why this keeps changing so often, but i advise watching for the sale prices.

Really liked the shape and overall design of the dryer. It is pretty big but not too heavy, and has some decent heat and speed and dries my hair fairly quickly. I like the smoothed round buttons which were easy to use, having the basic 3 levels. The nozzle was nice and short and I was able to angle it side ways to do my hair a bit better, and I liked not getting my hair caught in it.

So I never know what to make of things like "negative ions to reduce frizz" - so I'm not reviewing that part of this hairdryer. Just as a hairdryer - it's light, and powerful. Almost too powerful, I wish the low setting were a bit lower, or there were 3 speed settings. It's got an interesting design where there are 2 speed settings (low and high), and 3 temperature settings (cold, warm, and hot), plus a variable setting that goes from cold to hot cyclically (which I've never had before). You alternate speed with a switch, and temperature with a button, so there's a lot of instant temperature control. My hair is prone to being flyaway and staticky, so it did seem to help with that, leaving my hair smooth. Overall, a lot of power, a magnetic attachment for directed flow, and a light dryer with easy to operate controls. My only cons (thus 4 stars) are: * the low speed is still pretty high; a lower speed would be useful (I have very fine hair); * going with the need for a low speed, a diffuser attachment would be helpful for keeping curls intact etc. That said, for what it is, it does the job very well and is easy to use.
