  • Good product!
Size: 6FT Using height 6-18"
We bought these for our churches main entrance. It has a drop and we have 2 people in wheel chairs. They work great. A little heavy but not too heavy to carry. They fold great to store when not in use. Easy to use and right size for our needs.

  • Seems very sturdy.
Size: 7FT Using height 7-21"
I teach piano in my home to students with disabilities so I need a way for students to access the house while in a wheelchair. I looked at several ramps but chose this one for three reasons: 1) It fits on the stairs from the garage into the house (so it is out of the elements) but could be easily removed if needed. 2) It fit in my studio budget. 3) The legs that can be put down made it seem more sturdy than most portable ramps. When my dad became wheelchair bound years ago my sister purchased a portable ramp that did not have the mid-ramp legs. It was scary to watch the thing bend in the middle whenever anyone used it!! It took a few minutes to get it really properly situated, but has now been up in the garage for 2 months. My husband walks over it 3 - 5 times a day and it hasn't budged. It does not bend precariously in the middle like the ramp my sister had. I am very pleased and my student can attend his lessons safely! ... show more

  • I AM LIVID AND ENRAGED WITH HOW POORLY DESIGNED THIS WAS. DANGEROUS, AVOID. (10FT VERSION)
Size: 10 FT Using height 10-30"
First of all, this is a pain to put together, yes it comes pre-assembled, as a short man, this was hard to maneuver. NOTHING ABOUT THIS FEELS REMOTELY SAFE, save for the tiny guard rails to keep wheels from tipping over the edge. Aluminum is fine and whatever. Yeah, mine came slightly damaged, no big deal, impossible to ship this without it getting damaged, but that's more on the shipper's fault than the company. Maybe full length reinforced cardboard on all four edges. You know, something to justify your Near $400 price tag. I bought this since I have a dog with a broken femur whom I ran into an issue with last time, so need to CRATE HIM, and needed this to get him into the bed of my pickup Truck. With him in the crate, at 70lbs and the crate being over half my height at 5' 5", it becomes hard for me to maneuver him safely. Previous ramp I had was too steep and too narrow. So, I saw this, with mixed reviews. Nearly 4/5 is still good, but holy cow, is this DANGEROUS. THE MASSIVE AND I DO MEAN MASSIVE FLAW, there's no way to lock the top halves that go on your truck, top of your stairs, whatnot. This causes them to naturally SPLAY OUTWARDS when weight is applied. Which, I guess not end of the world for wheel chairs, but when you're dealing with a PET CARRIER that's about 18in between the wheels, that 8-10in splay is disconcerting. The thing is, this is a really easy fix. You already drilled holes in the side to lock it closed. Put two more holes and a lynch pin in the center with a few holes drilled in the pin that you lock with a R-Pin. And tether it with a chain and rivet like you did with the closing pins. The other DESIGN FLAW, the legs to add stability are hard to operate, and are uncomfortably thin. Then to operate the middle ones, you have to go under this unstable structure that weighs 60lbs, hope it stays long enough to mess with the inside/medial legs, so you can then deal with the outside legs. I honestly don't know what to do for my dog, now. Thank you for putting my dog's life at risk since you needed $400 for this product. HOW ANYONE COULD TRUST A HUMAN, DISABLED ONE AT THAT, ON THIS, is beyond me. ... show more

  • Adequate for the job, but unweildy
Size: 8FT Using height 8-24"
My 95 year old mother and my sister who has ALS both use mobility walkers and may soon need wheelchairs, so I decided to get a mobility ramp for their use when they visit my home. I cannot leave the ramp in place because I can't pull my car into the garage when the ramp is in place, so I need something that can be put out for use and put away when not in use. I chose the Habutway ramp because it has legs at the halfway point, for additional support. We have not yet used the ramp with a wheelchair or walker, but I walked up it and it appears sturdy enough. My complaints are these: 1) it is extremely heavy. It may fold and have a carrying handle, but at 50 lbs, it is not easy to move into place and to put away again. All of the available 8' ramps are about the same weight, and I assume the weight is necessary for the ramp to be adequately strong and stable, but don't expect easy portability! 2) the set-up instructions are inadequate, with just a few pictures and no words of explanation. There is a picture of a drill and for the longest time I could not figure out what is supposed to be drilled where. I finally decided it wants me to drill a hole at the edge of the top step/entry floor to insert stabilizing pins, but that would make the ramp even less convenient since I will need to place and remove it with every use. 3) the legs hang loose. It does not appear to be possible to tighten them into the appropriate position, but if the legs were so tightened, the ramp could not be folded for storage. This means it is important to make sure that the legs are at a 90 degree angle to the floor when the ramp is in place, or they will not provide the intended support. All in all, I believe the ramp will do the job, and its shortcomings are probably necessary design features, but it is not convenient to use. ... show more

  • Heavy but strudy
Size: 8FT Using height 8-24"
Difficult to open and set up as it is very stiff and heavy. I'm 6'3" and pretty well built. I can't imagine smaller folks trying to set this up. But it is sturdy enough to hold my brother and his 400 lb wheel chair up two and three steps

  • Not Easy or safe out of box
Size: 9 FT Using height 9-29.5"
This ramp needs to be stronger at the joint. I needed this for my mother and her wheel chair. It bends at the center joint to much to feel safe pushing her up. My husband is having to design something to support it.

  • Great solid ramp with feet to support in the middle!
Size: 8FT Using height 8-24"
This is a solid, well-built ramp with feet in the middle to the support heavy items, wheelchair with a person etc. It is foldable and fits in an SUV. Price is great too! I would definitely recommend it.
