We purchased the 6" height for use when a family member using a walker visits for several months. Slope is steeper than anticipated, but it's still easier for her than lifting the walker up and down from the doorstep. It's installed between a smooth brick step and a pea gravel patio; we did have an issue with slipping but did not want to drill into either end since it's a short term installation. I bought 3M Safety-Walk exterior tread tape, and put some on the underside of the adjustable flap on the high end and also on the underside of the bottom edge. It definitely reduced slipping. I may go back and cut skinny strips of the tread tape to put on all the bottom sections that contact the pavement. Also considering putting strips across the width of each segment to "slow the roll" going down the ramp. However, that may make it more difficult to push the walker up.

It's a quite steep incline for a manual wheelchair to climb but it's easier than lifting the wheelchair and patient. I highly recommend getting a few screws to secure it to theshold. I added high visibility tape to all the edges and put an outdoor, all weather non-slip mat on it. I think it'd easily get very slippery with rain and icy in the winter. But compared to carrying my loved one and their wheelchair down the step, it's MUCH easier. Also, it's kind of modular - you could slide the sections apart to make it shorter/lower. But it works perfectly as is to get a wheelchair from the top of my porch up the one step into the house.

Very frustrating purchase and return issues. THe description of this indicated it was good for patio and sliding glass doors. But BEWARE of the measurements and if you have an older home. Our doorway threshold to the patio where we wanted to use it is only 28" wide, so the top edge of this ramp, which has to be put together with less than clear directions imo (they COULD label each of the pieces with a letter and write directions to coincide with those), did not fit as we anticipated and expected. This was ordered by me with mom's nursing assistant beside me. On top of it, there was no indication it was not returnable. But when it did not fit right, I went to AMazon to initiate the return and got a message that it was NOT, and a link to the company I had to contact. I cannot tell you the amount of time and frustration this has created. My mother will be 100 in a few weeks, and since June of 2021 she has been a hospice patient for dementia, here at home. Our NA and nurse suggested getting a Broda Chair (so legs can remain outstretched) and a hoyer lift, and the ramp was the final piece to make things go smoothly in getting mom outside in fresh air and sunshine for the first time in over a year. She has been in the bed for all this time. Although we squeezed the chair out it is heavy itself, and with mom in it even heavier. Above and beyond our NA's efforts...and I helped as well so we really wanted this ramp to work, and at worst I anticipated we could do an exchange. Communication with the company was challenging. THey persisted in saying I had to deal with Amazon, they did not sell directly. I feel like I am going in circles. I did connect with Amazon and managed to get someone who had a dialect that was hard for me to understand on top of his admitting he was speaking through a mask...and I know my hearing is not as sharp as it may have been. He was going to send an email and it never arrived and was not in spam/junk either. I still have the box with the ramp to return. Also feel the person who got in touch with me from the company was not as knowlegable as one would hope, and I don't feel very reassured about the model she is suggesting. Clearly I do not and never did want to have to return the purchase and don't want to set myself up to go through this grief again. I asked to speak to a manager/supervisor and have yet to hear from anyone. Very disappointed...would strongly suggest if you still want to order from them that you double check your measurements to make sure it will fit and don't just rely on descriptions that say it's great for patio and sliding glass doors....

Love the ramp once assembled and in place. Doesn't move and fits the doorway for width and rise. It came partially assembled, I had trouble lining out the pieces still to be assembled and some screws were missing, but found screws in my misc box. Finally turned it on it's side to fit the unassembled portion together.

I separated the parts and layed them at the threshhold of my two sliding glass doors to be able to push my rollator out to my sundeck. It was hard rolling the wheels over the high grooves. The ramp stays mostly in place so I haven't had to drill any

Actually bought for a wheelchair bound family member, I had a heck of a time getting him over the threshold going into the house. This ramp was exactly the thing we needed. It sits on concrete and is not tied down (so we can occasionally move it) but it stays in place quite well for our application. We got the 3” rise and it fits nicely under the threshold and makes moving our patient in and out. Money well spent.

this 4" riser seemed flimsy at first but getting wheelchair out of house became a breeze! it handled a 125 lb. man with a lightweight wheelchair easily, and, trust me, getting in the house was easy w/out a ramp but getting out we had to get the person out of the chair and carefully walk him to the chair from step at door and another off porch 4 1/2 inches porch 5" house step. it is lightweight and easy to move and reset. I DO recommend this
