The mattress doesn't sag through the slates, and it doesn't squeak, it gave it about an inch lift, and I didn't have to move the box springs. This is a really nice frame. Durable and tough. Just 1 thing I can think is wrong with it. They say no frame and they are right and wrong. If you have a foam mattress you will need support. Sorry, but this frame cannot be used with foam and without support. For a queen I can help you out a little. The size of the boards you'll need is at least 2 or 3 - 2x4 or 2x8 cut down to 2x6. You will also want them to be a 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. To be honest the 3/4 is better and not much of a change in price. Beside that I would recommend to buy the side supports to keep the mattress from moving. It works pretty good. I don't have any problem since I've had it. This is a well made, sturdy frame. I purchased the King size, 18". There's plenty of room for storage underneath, and it's easy to vacuum under the bed as well. I purchased this frame for a guest room. It comes without a headboard, but looks very modern with some large decorative pillows propped against the wall. It was very easy to assemble. Had a mattress with no box spring, so I bought this frame to go with it. Not only is it sturdy and super easily to assemble, when I moved it from one bedroom to another, I was able to just dismantle part of it and get it out the door (unlike traditional frames that are just a big square). When my daughter went to college, I bought her one with the longer legs so that she would have storage room underneath. It’s easy to stub your feet on the legs and/or your knees/legs on the corners. I put wraps around the legs and corners, so when I stub my foot on a leg, or bang my knee or leg on the corner, it’s not that bad. The bed is nice and sturdy and doesn’t squeak. I’m happy and sleep well. Hope this helps.

This frame is very sturdy and easy to assemble. Love the storage underneath. Only reason it is not a 5 star is because after sleeping on it for 2ish months, my daughter notices it squeaks with almost every movement so we are going to try WD-40 and hope that helps.

I bought it for my daughters bed but I’ve bought the wrong size so I have a full size mattress on a twin size bed and I could’ve returned it so if you buy the wrong size, don’t forget you can return it and get the right size back and pay the difference, of course, but do it before the timeframe is up for returning the product but being that she has a full size mattress and a twin size frame it’s still sturdy so I guess that explains it very well ... show more
