Can it be used for a saltwater pool? Yes, the Warmblu pool heat pump is equipped with a titanium heat exchanger, which offers excellent corrosion resistance, making it fully suitable for use with saltwater pools. Does the pool heat pump heat the pool quickly? Heat pumps are highly energy-efficient, not instant. Initial heating, especially in cooler weather, can take 36+ hours, but they use far less electricity than other electric heaters for long-term operation. What should I pay attention to when using the pool heat pump in winter? For best winter performance, we recommend: 1.Use a pool cover to reduce heat loss from temperature swings. 2.Choose a heat pump one size larger than your pool normally requires, to ensure efficient heating in cold weather. Is professional installation required? For optimal safety and performance, we recommend professional installation. If you are experienced, self-installation is an option. Support is available to assist you if needed. Why does the WiFi connection occasionally disconnect, or why can't I control the unit through the app? Unstable WiFi often causes disconnection. I bought this for a bestway 18'x48" , 6100 gallon pool. When I first hooked it up the pool was 67 degrees. It took a while, but ran it continous for four days and it was up to 86 degrees with ambient temps varying from 70 at night to 78-80 during the day. Now I run the pump 12 hours a day just for water clarity and to maintain the heat. I keep the pool at a perfect 88 degrees even when the outside temps dip into the 60s at night! It also has the ability to cool the pool if you put it on "cool" or "auto" mode by holding the settings key and the up arrow key for 5 seconds and then let off the up arrow key first it changes modes. Then it switches from heat (sun icon) to cool (snowflake icon) or auto (A) icon. The compressor switches the flow and it then will pump cool water. I've used that a few times when the pool got up over 91 degrees! I'm running a flow rate of about 40-42 gallons per minute and have a valve inline to regulate it. Optimum rate. When we first hooked it up this morning, the water was at like 68. It’s already at 73 within just a few hours. So I’ll update the post tomorrow and let y’all know what the temperature is now very quiet blows out ice cold air on the other side came with the attachments needed to connect to the sand filter pump that I just installed a couple days ago it does have condensation and it does drip water so make sure it’s an area up off the ground so far this little thing is amazing 16-42 pool ... show more

Junk! We had one and it worked for about a week. Husband called technical support and they were very helpful and sent a replacement. Husband spent 5 hours setting the new one up and it doesn’t work. Goes immediately to 3e which is an error message. Don’t waste your time or money!

This is an impressive unit straight out from the box with an easy set up. I was able to get it working within minutes, but a few days later an error message appeareed and it did not go away - it was "E3" and the trouble shooting guide led me through scenarios to work out. Nothing worked. I did power off, power on, water filter pump off and on and changed o9ut the cartridge.... that darn 'E3" never went away. I called customer service and I was highly impressed by their response to my problem and they never dropped the ball they worked with me until it was decided to end a replacement unit. I got it 3 days later and It is workoing great! The company and customer service are worth the orice alone - they wer4e top notch and very kind, patient and profeessional. I already knew inverter technology is superior to standard single stage heat pumps but I was concerned at the companies claim this pool heater could heat up to 21,000 gallons. I installed myself, actually very simple. Running the a new electric circuit through the attic was challenging at 70 yrs old but I survived. Making the concrete pad was no fun either but I prefer to do things my way. The re-piping of the pool pump to the heater was easy enough but you should draw out what you need and make certain you enough fittings (mainly 90 degree), Tees and valves. The valves are critical because depending on the pump revolutions per minutes (RPMs) you may to reduce the water flow coming out of the heater. Each model has a different gallons per minute (gpm) requirement. The unit comes with an MPa gauge, is a type of pressure gauge that measures pressure in megapascals (MPa) on the back and you want the water pressure to stay in the Green zone. Lower the number on the gauge means high water flow but less heat transfer on the water discharge. It means if the water flow is to high/fast the is moving too fast to absorb the heat, so valve is needed on the heater discharge water line to slow the water flow down. See picture. When re-piping your system, you want to install a 3-way valve to the line coming out of your filter. This valve will do 2-things: 1- allow you divert water to the pool and to the heater, 2- allow you to isolate the heater and maintain water flow to the pool. I installed a second 3-way vale on the water line going into the heater to allow me to drain water out of the pool. Then installed a standard valve on the water discharge of the heater to adjust the water flow. If your water flow is too high the heater will produce a lot of condensation and drain out of the bottom. The unit comes with a key pad but the Smart Life App makes it a lot easier. Setting up the App was frustrating. You have to link your phone with the Heater and it uses WiFi (not Bluetooth). The heater becomes a Network and you have to connect your phone to that network, then you open the Smart Life App, Add a new device, select smart heat pump, it will ask for network, you will select your home Wifi, enter your password and it will download the heater. What's really nice about this heater, it also cools down the water temperature, yes heating & cooling. Here in Florida that's important because the pool water can go into the low 90 degrees. For my pool (13,000 gallons) it only took 24 hours to reach 86 degrees from 70 degrees. When the heater is running, it only uses 6-amps of energy or 1,300 watts = 1.3 kW which how your electric bill is charged. Using $.06 per kW, .06x1.3= $.078 per hour. If you run your pump 8 hours a day, that's $.62 a day or $18.72 per month. Also, when installing the PVC pipe and fittings, especially the 3-way valves make certain you have them going the right direction and install Unions in you piping to make it easier in the future to work on your system. ... show more

I got the 120k BTU . Delivery was fast (2days) this thing is heavy like 220lbs, need 2 person to move around, came in double boxed,very well. Very easy installation straight forward just connected between pool filter and salt cell, it came with 10 gage wire already attached. Once everything connected and secured took me 5 minutes to program and start heating the pool. Dowload the app so I can see the heating progress on my phone. It took 24 hours to heat from 73°f to 92°f very quiet when was running on full speed. Very satisfied. My pool is inground 15k gallons so I bought well oversize so it heat quick and done, it was worth it 24 hours went almost 20 degrees I'm in central Fl so nights in here still around high 50's and low 60s this will keep nice until summer comes and then if it gets too hot this unit chill water too. I have a 14 foot above ground pool 42 inches high roughly 3200 gallons purchased this item. It does work but it takes a couple of days for the pool to get worm, but doesn’t really exceed 90° even with a solar pool cover however I contacted The company that is advertised on Amazon directly and the sent me a larger unit that works a lot better. A customer service was excellent and they were very helpful on getting me the proper unit. The unit is a little bit larger than the original one that I purchased, but it is also very quiet and more efficient. ... show more
