The headphones comes with 3 types of connection options: USB connector that can be plugged in, cord that attached from headset to the controller or Bluetooth. So far my husband tried the first two options and there is no different in what you choose, it works great. Sounds quality is really great, noise cancelling is probably 7/10 which is normal for this type of headset. Microphone works fine and voice sounds clear, but has a little eco when testing just on the TV, but he hasn't tried it for many games yet, so it might be just fine when you are not listening to yourself.
