    • Best syringes for feeding pets!!!
I’ve used a dozen different types of syringes and either their designs were horrible or they stopped working after just one use. My vetinarians gave me syringes to feed a cat but they were huge and the tip that sticks out of the syringe was too short and the inside diameter of the tip was too narrow to let food pass through. I can’t believe veterinarians don’t know what to feed animals with. These syringes have a large opening so they allow food to pass easily through the hole in the tip. And the plungers slide smoothly. In every other syringe I’ve used the syringes locked up or became so stuck they were unusable. It used to take an hour to feed one ounce of canned cat food to my cat. Now I can do it in 5 minutes. It’s less stress on my pet and myself. And because the plunger in the syringe moved so smoothly the cat food easily flowed into my cat’s mouth and not all over her face and coat. All the other syringes would jamb half way through and I’d lose a lot of food or it would end up on my cat’s fur that I’d have to clean up. One thing to note about these syringes that’s very important. The inside diameter of the tip is 0.05 larger than all the other syringes I researched. That might not seem like a lot but believe me, it is. The inside diameter of the tip is 25% larger than all other syringes I’ve found.     • Feeding syringe
I bought these syringes specifically to use for assist feeding my pet but he doesn't like the size of the tip in his mouth and becomes uncooperative during the feeding process. This is a personal preference on his part so it's not meant to be a criticism of the product. So, instead I use them to transfer critical care to a smaller syringe and they work great. They are sterile and labeled for single use but that's not practical when feeding 3x/day so I sterilize them before each feeding. To keep the plunger gliding smoothly, I treat the rubber tip with simethicone prior to filling the syringe and this ensures a smooth transfer to a smaller syringe. I expect this box will last quite a long time but next time, I will buy larger capacity syringes since the tip is the same size as these and it will minimize the # of times I fill the transfer syringe per feeding. I bought these to put in first aid kits for wound debridement. The hole in the tip is a little large and doesn’t get as good a pressure stream as I had hoped for, but I can drill a smaller hole in the cap and get the pressure I’m looking for. All and all, they’re a good product for the cost and I would buy them again if needed. ... show more
