Color: video light
Video professionals have long debated whether lighting or the camera make the picture. I say both, and in this light you can't go wrong in having plenty of it. My first impression of this product was how heavy it was. It comes in a very night, well padded case with cable, bowens mount cone and power supply. Also included are some velcro straps to keep your rather long power cable in check. The light puts out an ENOURMOUS amount of light - as a key light it only need operate at 30% or less. For large productions where you want a nigh even light on a scene or want to create the effect of sunlight coming through a window, this can do the trick. The light comes with several effects, which may be more of a gimmick than a useful tool, but they are there if you need them. I always get bi-color lights, as they tend to be more versatile in varying lighting conditions, but never have I owned one as powerful as this one. It can simulate a sunset or high noon lighting and with a rather crude app you can control some of the features from your phone. The mechanics are silent and the light is of sufficient quality - although I have not checked it against my light meter for accuracy, the light seems to put out a good quality of light. For the price, it is a great entry level light, without having to sacrifice quality over time. This light will be a main light for me going forward. Due to how heavy it is, i would recommend using this with a C-Stand and some sand bags, especially if you use this on a set with a softbox.

No flicker! Loving the light so far. Output quality of the light seems perfect, with no flicker. Most shoots I have enough head room to bring it up to what I need levels wise. In a pinch I can adjust color temp as needed, if I'm not white balanced where I need. Power cord is a bit clunky. But isnt a deal breaker. For the price. Weight. It's great. If you're looking at it. Buy it. This will work for you and the price can't be beat.

I added these lights to my modest desktop setup to supplement the overhead lights and reflectors I currently use. They work great, provide a lot of light for my purposes and seem to be well made for amateur occasional use. The supplied stands are sturdy and functional. I store the entire setup in the box it was shipped in, not elegant but it works. In my opinion the lights are very good and I am happy I bought them.

This company has brought their product production to a whole new level. I have run sets with Arri, Aputure, Nanlite, etc, and these new pro series from GVM - holds it together with them. I highly recommend their pro line it's fantastic.

I purchased the GVM SD300B Pro 300W Bi-color Studio Light on August 29, 2023, through Amazon. I had high hopes for this light based on the specs and initial impressions, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. This unit was barely used—only twice briefly since purchase—and stored safely in climate-controlled conditions and inside it's own bag. A few days ago, I finally decided to use it for a proper photo session. About five minutes into use, I heard a soft "puff" sound, and the light suddenly stopped functioning correctly. Now it only emits a fixed warm yellow tone, and the color temperature can no longer be adjusted—which defeats the entire purpose of a bi-color studio light. I suspect a serious internal failure—possibly with the LED array or internal circuitry. For a supposedly professional-grade unit, this kind of catastrophic failure after minimal use is unacceptable. To make things worse, GVM customer support was completely unhelpful. Their only response was that the product carries a one-year warranty and offered no guidance, troubleshooting, or repair options. Considering the high price and branding of this product, I expected much better quality and customer service. I strongly recommend avoiding this light. There are other brands in this price range with far better reliability and post-sale support. If you're a working professional or need consistent gear, this is not something you can depend on.

The media could not be loaded. For my first pro light I could not be happier. Great product the light intensity is crazy bright I keep at at about 5percent in my studio so I know if I need to crank it it definitely has the juice I would need. I’m buying more from GVM I’m impressed
