The media could not be loaded. This dog house comes in two VERY heavy boxes, so I recommend opening them on a flat surface—either indoors or outdoors—and laying everything out while cleaning as you go. If you can recruit an extra pair of hands, it’ll make things easier, but it’s definitely doable solo. My wife and I put it together in about 2 hours—in the dark, no less (couldn’t wait after a business trip!). A headlamp and iPhone flashlight got the job done. The color is beautiful and looks great next to our 4-month-old Cane Corso, Harley, who already weighs 50+ lbs. She was a little scared and hesitant at first, but also very curious. We’re easing her into it with treats and making the space feel cozy and safe—not like she’s being sent away! We went with the 59” XL size so she won’t outgrow it anytime soon. Shipping was also a pleasant surprise—estimated 1.5 weeks, but it showed up in just 3 days! Overall, we’re very happy with this purchase. Highly recommend!

Putting this Doghouse together takes time, be sure to be on a large, solid level surface when assembling, being sure to install roof hinges at rear of the roof halves in a way to allow proper installation of front latch catches during the final steps of assembly

I purchased this to complete crate training for my dog (Alaskan Husky). He was really attached to his crate, I was really trying to get rid of it but, I knew that he needed “his own space” so I purchased this along with a dog bed that fits inside. I keep this dog house inside of my home in the living room. He loves it and is in it all the time, so if you love your dog enough and confident that they will use it, it’s 100% worth it. Plus it looks good. HOWEVER, the reason for four stars is for two reasons. One, being that the hinges are trash. It’s a cool concept that it opens up (which it does) but the screws that they give you are NOT big enough or strong enough, so whenever you open it the hinges come off, so you need to use your own screws. Also the “asphalt” roof I personally don’t think is actually asphalt but, it flakes. Asphalt pieces constantly fall off, if you rub your hand on it they will flake off immediately. Also setting it up by yourself could be tricky. Other than those things it’s a solid product. My dog weighs around 70lbs and he is very rough. He jumps into it, tosses, turns… he loves this thing and that to me is worth it.

The media could not be loaded. It came exactly as described. It's just smells a little funny tho. It's beautiful. I love it. It's perfect size. My pit fits in it just fine and a bed cam fit inside and theu can lay down n not be cramped. She's only 45lbs. So I'd say up to 55 lbs comfortably. Easy to assemble and easy to read directions. The roof is def weather resistant. The weight of of isn't to heavy.

This is possibly the worst item we've ever purchased from Amazon. They should be embarrassed to sell such a piece of junk. First, nothing living could survive the chemicals and the smell of this Pet House. It's soo bad it made all of us in the house sick during the unpacking/assembly. There were components missing like the back plate for the hinge. The left side was there but the right side appeared to have been broken off during packaging. There was a hole drilled through the front cover and patched with some filler and painted over. The holes for the inside panel were missing and we had to drill those our ourselves to make the barrier work. The insulation quality is terrible due to the gaps everywhere including the gap present in the two-piece floor. There's no overlap or butt joint where the two panels meet so cold air can just come straight through. There's gaps on the sides and corners where panels meet. This is about as "insulated" as completely leaving the front flap off the pet house. We would certainly never recommend this product to anyone. It is JUNK.

First thoughts about the product after opening, it feels cheaply made. Not worth the $200+ that I spent. The walls feel flimsy, it did get sturdier after being completely assembled obviously but still feels like if I was to sit my 60lb 8 year old on this he’d break it.haha The build was easy, built it in about 15-20 mins. All that was needed was a screw gun. After building it I noticed the walls are not completely flush, which isn’t a big deal but I will most likely be running some caulk along those seams for proper sealing. I really like the idea behind it with it being insulated and all, but I just feel I could probably buy material myself and build something similar that’s sturdier for the amount of money this house was. So in the end I have to give this 2 stars. Just wasn’t worth the money for me in the end. We shall see how it holds up with time.

Bought for 4 feral cats to spend winter in!! They love it, only thing we don't like are the feet they don't stay on and are a very cheap plastic. Went to hardware store and bought metal wheels. This would be great for any animal for shelter. I would buy again.
