Had for 9 months, still have yet to replace batteries. It's not heavy wall so not the most durable but not tin can either. I keep to forms of gps inside. It is also guarded with surveillance(simplisafe) and cctv(3rd party). Don't be a fool, secure your weapons!

For an inexpensive safe that's more to keep honest people honest than provide real defense against a driven opponent, this will certainly fit the bill. I doubt I can fit as many guns in as advertised unless I squeeze them in like sardines, but my entire collection fit in with plenty of room. This is what I got it for, and for that I can't complain. That said, the assembly leaves some things to be desired. Having to crawl inside to assemble does keep all the screws on the inside, but it also makes for a difficult and awkward assembly. This is compounded by things not lining up as well as one might hope, and parts actually being bent the way they shouldn't be. I had to bend and hold a piece in place while screwing it, the floor required a hammer to get it to go down (those foots are about useless since you can't adjust once installed without lifting the whole safe) and I almost stripped a screw trying to get it in because I couldn't see the holes hadn't lined up. And speaking of screws, I was actually missing one and will have to go out and get a replacement. But the worst issue is the instructions. There were several instances where I was left confused as to what they wanted me to do. Putting the roof on was the worst, followed closely by the shelves. They need to either release an instructional video, or invest in a better set of instructions. In the end, we got there, and it will certainly do the job I bought it for. But the assembly process was overly complicated for what it should have been. Set aside at least an afternoon to put together, you're going to need it.

well made gun cabinet. Easy to assemble. It took me about 30 minutes to put it together. Pretty solid, but I wouldn't call it a safe, more like a locking cabinet. That said, it will keep the kids out. Standard length long guns will not fit with the top shelf in place. My savage in 270 and muzzle loader are too long to put the shelf in place. Overall a good deal, would get another if needed.

This is a great value for a gun locker. The walls are a single sheet of metal, thicker than your book locker from middle school, but thinner than anything you'd call a "safe". Once assembled, it's pretty easy to move and position by yourself. I raised mine off the floor on cinder blocks, and I easily lifted and positioned the whole thing by myself. It comes in pieces, which was great. I could carry the individual pieces to the desired area without having to negotiate the bulky thing. Assembly is easy. The kit contains some spare screws, funny enough, too many spares of one type and missing enough screws of another. Ugh. I found some matching screws in my garage junk box. I put a "goldenrod" in the locker to control humidity. I didn't have to drill any holes for the power cord. There are gaps along the edge between the floor and walls. I just pushed the cord through the gaps. (note: the walls fit snugly against the floor during assembly but there are "cutouts" at the corners to fit the frame rails. From beneath, it's easy to poke your finger through these cutouts and reach the interior.) This is a locker, not a safe. It's not sealed. It's not fireproof. Anyone with a simple tools (roofing hammer, small pry bar, crow bar, tire iron) could pop this door open in a heartbeat. Anchoring it to the floor or walls just makes it easier to apply leverage. It is a significant deterrent against gaining casual access to the contents, but almost no deterrent to anyone who is not afraid to wield simple tools. You won't be able to use the shelf if you are storing long shotguns (specifically pump or semiauto waterfoul shotguns), precision rifles, etc.

Nope, this may hold your kids airsoft collection but in no way is it a 10-12 gun cabinet...i barely got 9 in and that is taking the top shelf out and not using the cheap magnet dividers. It is very thin and does not go together well, held together by tiny phillips screws and it shifts with weight even when bolted to wall. If the packaging wasnt shredded upon delivery and wasnt a pain to take apart id send it back, but ill keep it for a couple pewpews i dont use much.

I was able to assemble this by myself in about 40 minutes, and it seems fairly sturdy. Getting it level is a challenge, but if I just mount it to the wall like it the instructions recommend, any wobble should go away. I had to remove the shelf for longer items, but may move things around between another safe to see if I can get the shelf back in. All in all, very happy with this safe and would purchase again.
