I like the looks of the machine. I love the blue color. The assembly not not so much. Getting the change out from the gum ball machine is atrocious. I would have given assembly a one star but I gave up and my hubby put it together so it got a four lol. You have to pretty much disassemble the whole thing to get the change out of the bottom. It’s just for me to have in my craft room for the cool retro factor. We go all out at Halloween. This year is a circus theme and we will put it out with a dish of quarters at Halloween for kiddies and it goes perfectly with the popcorn machine we have. I purchased the recommended base and rainblo gum balls, it is very sturdy. If it had some sort of coin release mechanism this would be the perfect gum ball machine. Works great! I got this as a reward system for my 3 year old. She loves it! She can put the coin in and spin it on her own. I have put mini starburst, mini m&m, and skittles in 1.1" capsules. My picture shows about 100 capsules in it, so you could fit 200 I'd say. It has a key on top to lift lid and then pull the clear candy holder up to get your coins under there. It works as expected but the bottom stand of the machine has edges that scrape against the surface, so when I pushed the machine to the side it completely ruined my brand new table (see photos). I ended up making a small foam square for it to sit on so it wouldn’t damage anything else, you can see the imprint marks on the foam from where the bottom digs in. Great product, so far so good. Appears to be a quality constructed machine for vending 1 inch bouncy balls for $0.25. This is what I chose to fill with but you can select gumballs and other fun items to fill the canister. this is a very nice version of the traditional gumball vendor you see in shopping malls or arcades. It looks good and works very well with the 1 inch gumballs I have. It looks really good in my living room and has become a conversation piece. Everyone is now keeping their quarters to get gum.
