We purhased this as my son's Santa gift and it was a big hit! I couldn't find any instructions on assembly for the base, but looking at the box and the limited amount of hardware included (four screws and nuts) it was easy to figure out what to do- just grab a screwdriver. It's shorter than I pictured in my mind- a bit shorter than gumball machines you see in public areas (or at least I perceive this one to be shorter). The pieces feel heavy and sturdy, although when we put it together, it lost some of its heft and while I wouldn't say it was easy to knock over, it's also not as sturdy as the public gumball machines I've seen. The base was a quick and easy assembly, and my hubby did the red base/candy globe part- you can have it accept change or do like we did and find a video on how to take it apart and make it free (there were directions about putting the red base/globe together but they weren't very well written and the pictures were useless) it took a bit of work, but it was worth it to us to not have to empty coins or supply coins to make it work. We also had to adjust a gizmo in the red base because when we first assembled the product and added the gumballs, they wouldn't stop coming! Again, online videos saved the day! We've only used small gumballs with this and it holds a bunch of them! We had about a fifth of a big bag of gumballs that we poured in and it barely peeked over the glass at the bottom! Overall, I'm very pleased with this product and I would recommend it to friends and family, however, if you're getting this item to put in a public place or where children will be frequently using it, I'd recommend finding a way to secure it to a wall or somehow make it tip-proof.

This is so cute! I've always wanted one, so I finally purchased it and I'm not disappointed! It's a great size and very well made. I do believe the feet on the stand should have been the heavy medal like the post is, hopefully it will hold up over time. I haven't filled it or used it yet, so it's empty, but I'm planning on doing so. If I have any issues using it, I will back to the reviews and update it. As of now, I'm 100% satisfied.

I am leaving only 4-Stars, I would leave 5 stars, however, it is NOT made of metal, as description implies. Don’t believe me? Put a magnet up to the machine. There’s your answer. I do love the machine! Just kinda disappointed it’s not made of metal as they used be made of. Filled it with 4 pounds of Jelly Belly’s. It could easily hold about 8 pounds. That’s how large these machines are! Colts of machine is beautiful and brilliant, just what I hoped for. Easy to fill, hopefully mechanism will turn more easily, the more it’s used.

I have been wanting to get a few aesthetics for my game room for awhile now. The positive reviews and the company reputation is why I bought this one. The description of the machine says that it can only hold 0.72" gumballs or less. Well, that's not true. There is a plate inside that you can adjust how big or how much of an item can be dispensed. I adjusted it to the maximum size and it can easily hold 1.0" gumballs. I have tested it several times now and I have never once had an issue with a missed or stuck dispensed gumball. The parts are well made with nothing broken upon inspection. All parts move freely and require little maintenance. There are some cons to this machine but to me they are minor and can be upgraded. The first of course is that the globe is made of glass. If a young child was to knock it over, it will shatter. Also, you have to be mindful on how you pour items into the globe. Just trying to pour 4 pounds of gumballs in; they are hard and can bounce and hit the glass and break it. Either you have to pour them in slowly or you can buy an upgraded plastic globe to avoid broken glass. Also, I wish this had "key" to unlock instead of just a flat head screwdriver to open it up. However at this price range, that's pretty hard to find. It's just me of course and not like I didn't know it before purchasing it. Last, either you can use any coin, or make it free spin. Of course, there is a way to change the lugs to make it only accept quarters but not what's inside the box it comes in. Overall, these are minor things. I more or less put them in so if anyone had a question about them, they can read this and know. I love the overall look of this gumball and expect many years of "fun" using it.

I got this to use in my classroom as an incentive for students. I did order the acrylic replacement bowl (I clicked on the brand’s store and found the acrylic bowl there) because I had seen many reviews of machines with glass bowls that shattered, and I didn’t want to take any chances in a classroom! I decided to keep it as a coined machine, so I didn’t need to change it to the coin-free option. It was fairly easy to put together; make sure you have a screwdriver! I didn’t think about it and had to use scissors when I brought it to my classroom to assemble haha my mistake! I also bought the 0.62 inch size gum balls and haven’t had any issues with it not dispensing. Overall, I like this purchase. If it doesn’t turn out well in my classroom, I’ll just use it at home because it’s ADORABLE! Love the pink color!

I changed from a 1 to a 5 rating. This machine was a Christmas present for my grandchildren. When we put it together it would not work properly. We took it apart and two pieces fell out. The product looked like on the inside that it had been used before. Our return window has closed since I buy my Christmas presents early. I have reached out to the company, hoping I get a reply. Update - I got a reply from the company immediately. They were wonderful and were willing to send me the piece that was broken. They didn't do that though - they sent me a whole new machine. What WONDERFUL customer service. My grandkids are happy now. They work for change and buy candy. LOL All I can say is this company knows how to do GREAT business and take care of customers. It is a great-fun gift for children and grandchildren.
