Description

Triads are incredibly useful on guitar, not only for building chords and arpeggios, but for soloing too, and especially soloing over chord changes. If you know your triads inside-out on the neck, you’ve laid the foundations for mapping out the fretboard when creating chord progressions, rhythm parts or improvising melodically. The tedious part is actually learning triads to start with which is why I came up with this incredibly handy method for learning triads and their inversions all over the neck in a fraction of the time it takes to learn them the standard rote way. This book covers root, first and second inversions of the following triads: major, minor, diminished, augmented, sus2 and sus4, giving you the power to not only remember them, but use them effectively in coming up with solos, rhythm parts and many other creative applications. Enjoy! Read more

  • Short, sweet and to the point
For 99¢ it is a very good deal. All musicians should have a book that they put knowledge learned into, like a grimoire. This information is valuable, he presents it simply. You as a musician need to learn it by doing it. No hand holding here, just theory and a few pointers. BUY IT! LEARN IT! IT'S 99¢ ... show more

  • The best book to really learn and understand triads for guitar
Just by scanning the pages, I already learned more about triads than other books on this topic I have been reading for years. You will surely understand it. Master the triads on the first four lower strings. Then do a “warped” conversions for those involving strings B and E.

  • informative
I like it. Very short. Not for beginners. Shows me most the triad shapes. Basically what I wanted. There are cheaper ways to get same info. But it is put together nicely in this book. Not upset I purchased.

  • Great instruction
Graham does a great job laying out the information in a clear concise manner, as in all of his books; great instruction.

  • Just another "learn instantly" gimmick
I've been trying to learn triads to support fingerstyle. I was hoping this book would help me along that path. It didn't. The book is all about the gimmick of why chord shapes change when they include the B string. Most guitarists will already know why by the time they are learning triads. He asserts that knowing this will allow you to bypass a lot of learning. It doesn't. I was expecting the author to provide a structure in which to learn, then exercises to get it under your fingers. This book didn't provide that. ... show more
