I am brand new to using a leverless controller. Only traditional fighting game I play is guilty gear strive. When this arrived I was IMPRESSED with the overall build quality and responsiveness. This feels like a $130+ leverless. I was worried when I picked up the 22 button model for $60 about three things: build quality, responsiveness, and size ( I have pretty large hands) and this product exceeded my expectations in all three aspects. 10/10 recommend, no notes.

5 stars, everything works as promised, swapped caps for Kailh Shadow Hunting Switch because the stick is so cheap. Its not metal base like the more expensive Varmilo and everything else.. you 100% watched the revews already and know what your getting. So the acrilic does "creek" makes those sounds if u bend it but nothing major, u can play on lap not going to snap it. Acrilis is also quieter than aluminimm when piano the keys doesn't have that "ting" pitched sound to it. The extra keys are super usefull and dont get in the way if not needed, always can dummy button. The key rings are raised off the base , so you cant get it flush off the acrilic even if removing the button. Firmware update is ez, software open source. Overall great stick for half the price, for pc, for ps5 ull shell out another 50$ for usb authenticaator. *compared to Hitbox and sanwa buttons the original switches are less mushy but the travel is the same, on the taller side

Phenomenal controller for the price. Almost perfect: the converter it comes with isn’t great and disconnects every 3 minutes without fail. There could’ve been more in depth instructions on how to update any firmware etc, as any instructions are all contained to a small pamphlet with very basic information. I was lucky enough to have a different converter (Brook’s ‘Wingman’ adapter) and that fixed the issue no problem when I swapped the two out. I’m not sure if this issue could be remedied by any sort of firmware/updates. That could be a huge downside for anyone on a budget as the adapter is about the same price as the box. The included RGB is cool but blindingly bright, which thankfully a button exists to toggle most of the swirling color vomit off. Despite a few flaws and a converter problem, the GK-21 works great. Don’t let a few minor annoyances scare you away from this great product. I’ve tried it with Tekken 8 and a few other fighters and found that I like the feel and performance over my previous controller, a $300 MixBox. If you’re looking for a good entry point to the world of leverless, this is for you. As an aside, I’d try to be gentle with it as this feels like it could break very easily, yet the hardware is sturdy enough. Do not toss this thing after a rough ranked session (don’t toss anything after a rough ranked session, come to think of it).

I've spent between $35-300 on different leverless controllers from different brands, and I can easily say this one is the best balance of quality and value. Out of the box, I would tighten all the screws to ensure nothing comes loose, but otherwise it is well built. I swapped the switches out for some with a shorter travel and quicker actuation, but the ones that come with it are perfectly serviceable. Lastly, I got a booster 4 from Haute so I can use it on PS5 in addition to the other platforms it supports. All of the extra buttons are nice if you need more bindings, the LED is nicely diffused and make the controller look great, but not blinding at night. It's a Gp2040ce board, so the web interface is easy to work with. In retrospect, I didn't need all the additional buttons, and I think the 16 button version would be more practical in many ways. Overall, I would highly recommend this over Haute/Cosmox products, and I look forward to seeing Guilekeys put out more products in the future.

I wish this came out the same time the original Haute 42 18-key leverless came out. I wouldn't have bought the original as the hand placements were too close for my tastes. The extra space between the directional buttons and the action keys are great for where I naturally place my hands. I wish the GK-21 had this layout, but as it stands THIS is my go-to leverless.

I have several leverless controllers and this is one of my favorites. This thing is beautiful when all lit up. I have buttons color coordinated so I know what ones I'm pressing. Also have it set up so that the left side works as the left analog and the right side works as the right analog and then I have all my active buttons set. Plenty of buttons for everything. Reconfigurable through the fantastically, consistently updated GP2040-CE web configurator as well as through the on board screen menu system. Like most of these types of boards they do not come compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series XS out of the box so I highly recommend the Brooks Wingman FGC2 for PS5 or XB3 for Xbox. The build quality is fantastic within acrylic design. The value for what you get is second to none. Finally, the support on their discord server is amazing. This is the company to watch for. Very innovative and I feel them doing big things going forward in the controller business.

This box is sleek. It looks and feels incredible while also having the function to boot. I got this on sale, but it would be a major bang for your buck at full price too. 100% would recommend to someone getting into a leverless pad.

Update: when I play extended period of time with this stick, i started noticing some key input delay. So I am downgrading it to 3 stars for now. After months of using, I think this is a decent leverless entry level for beginner but if you are serious about fighting game, please consider spending extra money for higher quality products. I am only giving it 4 stars because m1 and m2 key mapping in configuration menu is swapped for some reason. Took a while to figure out why m2 wasn’t working with button I assigned. This is my first leverless stick so I don’t have a reference to compare with, but based on my experience so far I think it’s a good entry product to start with. I do the see any further needs to upgrade this yet. And the button press is ok, but I cannot say that I am a fan of the switch used in this product. But then I own multiple mechanical keyboards and little picky on these things. At the end, I would recommend this product.
