This was super cute and perfect for my vacation!! It did get a little hot (ie I got sweat all over it) but it held up really well over the summer. It’s not big enough for my 13” laptop, but fits my old ipad and a bluetooth keyboard, so I use it for light cafe days now. It has one pocket inside the big compartment (where i’d put my ipad) and another zipped pocket (for idk, a passport? receipts?). The big pocket will fit my water bottle and a few paperbacks. Or 3 skeins of yarn, for anyone looking for a theft-proof crochet bag. Who knows. The front pocket fit all my wet wipes, sanitizer, masks, chapstick, sunscreen, etc. It fits crochet hooks and pens and stuff too. It also came with a tiny flashlight! The hooks worked great, although by the end of my vacation I was sick of unclamping the zippers every time. This did work as a purse for me most of my vacation, but I will say that it would have been easier with one backpack larger than this + one purse smaller than this. (if your budget allows). Especially because the backpack got kinda sweaty haha so going to a nice restaurant at night with it was certainly a lewk I did not try slashing this. Bought this backpack and i absolutely love it! it feels nice, holds so many things!!! I decided to buy a cheaper version of "The Tote Bag" and honestly im ready to chuck it and go back to this backpack!! It has latches for locks which isnt gonna stop anyone from trying to steal but it will take them a minute to undo the latch and more than enough time for you to turn around or respond or anything. This is a great backpack for traveling and as a crocheter is holds yarn rlly well amongst my other necessities. I am really upset i spent money on the Tote bag and should of bought another one of these!!! I wish they had more of a variety of colors and softness, I would buy them all. ... show more

Ok this bag is actually pretty nice quality. The straps felt padded and comfortable. The bag itself is on the small side, but lots of pockets and organization. I love the security features including slash resistant body and straps as well as locking zipper pulls and RFID blocking. These are great features, exactly what I was looking for. My issues were: #1. No space outside for a water bottle. They have a very small section inside that appears to be meant for a one time use sized water bottle, but it would not fit a reusable water bottle unless its really slim. Also since the water bottle pocket is inside, there's a risk of your bottle leaking onto other contents (like your phone or table); and you have to unlock and unzip your bag, every time you need a drink (which can be tedious when the locking features are in use; and since the water bottle takes up so much space inside and already small backpack, you have less room for other essentials. Issue #2 The details say there is a lock down strap. I don't see how, or where those are located. The straps are fully attached to the back of the backpack. There is no claps or hook. They do not come apart as far as I can tell. This means you cannot unclip it to wrap/secure it to your chair or table. I really want that feature in an anti-theft backpack. I don't want someone running off with my bag while I'm trying to enjoy a beverage. ... show more

    • Kind of disappointing
I wanted a small day pack to use as a purse alternative and have liked Travelon for a few years because of the safety features. Full disclosure: I’m not small or averaged sized. I’m plus sized, and wear a 28 for jeans. The backpack is nice, has plenty of storage but the shoulder straps dig into my shoulders a bit. It’s also hard to wear with a thick winter coat. It should be fine for spring and summer though. I’m keeping the bag but it won’t be in regular rotation as a favorite. ... show more
