It spread my Rye seed perfectly at least 9 ft on both sides of my 4-wheeler (front mounted). This way you can adjust the amount being spread and watch it at the same time. Easy to control. Best way is to use an external battery source.

    • A Well Built Spreader For Lightweight Material
First, this is a spreader designed for light weight material. If you're planning on spreading rock salt or other large material look elsewhere. Stop looking for a spreader with a $200 price point and up your game to $1K+ spreaders. Second, my application required a spreader for a John Deere Zero Turn Mower, not an ATV. This spreader met that requirement. There are spreaders specifically designed for zero turn mowers with a price point around $1.5K+. Third, my application required several modifications to the zero turn mower not the spreader although I did change the hardware for mounting the spreader to the handles. More to come. ... show more

Says it will handle 80 lbs. Held 5 lbs of grass seed. True spread width about 7 feet. And also spreads most of it to the right side of machine. Small parts and bolts falling off machine during use. I truly think the machine is worth about $25 from a used retailer. If I could have used no stars, I would have. Don't buy it. ... show more

Unbeatable spreader for the price my only complaint is that there is no guard protecting the spreader I have went through several spreader due to them hitting the door on my enclosed trailer and breaking out the bottom of the spreader wish there was some kind of guard there to protect it but other than that they hold up to very very heavy use for food plots and landscaping business i usually run mine about 500 hours a season with out any problems the gate measurement is a little primitive but as long as you do your homework ahead of time it works just fine almost no draw on my ATV battaries ... show more

    • Don't use it to salt your road
Rusted out and it was in side to. The cable that open the door stop working. Had to take it off. And adjust it manually.
