Description

Skate guards are essential equipment for protecting your blades while walking off the ice, and the Top Notch guards from Guardog are also really fun! Choose your favorite color and style - Solidz, Glitz, Pearlz, and Sprinklz options come in several different colors. Chameleonz guards change color when they get cold, and Swirlz options are scented! For even more fun, a few are now BOTH color-changing and scented!!! The guards are made to fit most figure skate blades and some hockey blades anywhere from 6 inches to 10+ inches long (the upper limit varies by shape and type of blade). Simply use the included sizing chart to mark and cut the guards as short as you need them to leave a small gap between the two pieces of the guard. The included springs hold the guards securely in place while you walk, and make it easy to put them on and take them off quickly. Some Assembly Required - You will need to screw in the four screws used to hold the guards together. Sold in pairs. Made in Canada.

First off it’s an awesome product. Fits my skates perfectly and super cute!! Feels sturdy and love how tight they are on my blades they won’t fall off. For sizing I have a size 7 1/2 Jackson mystique women’s figure skate boot. I have Jackson mark II blades that are 10 inches. The guards fit perfectly and have the “ideal gap” size that’s shown in the booklet. If you’re a size bigger like a women’s 8 or a 10 1/3 blade size I’d say that’s the biggest I’d go. Cosmetically they’re beautiful. I got the chameleon blade guards in blue to purple. They’re a beautiful sky blue in the warmth and when they get cold on the side of the rink they turn a sparkling icy purple. Easy to walk in too!! ... show more

Where do I start this review?? I absolutely love these skate guards! They are really pretty and they color change!!! When I’m in for my ice session, my skate guards turn purple from the coldness of the rink which is so cool. I’m 16 and I’ve skated since I was 3.5 years old, and these are probably the nicest guards I’ve ever had appearance and durability wise. My skate blades are around 9 inches long, and all I had to do is cut down one piece from each side. The guards are also really easy to assemble which Is a good plus. The only bad thing that I have on these guards is that there’s a big noticeable blue blotch of what looks like dye on the side of one of my guards, but all that matters is that the guards do their job so I don’t really mind it. I definitely recommend this purchase, and I will buy another set of guards once these wear down. ... show more

These skate guards work great and look pretty. They are difficult to assemble though. I had my boyfriend help me and he said it took quite a bit of strength to get the coils on. I wear a size 8 women's in Jackson skates. I didn't have to cut these down at all, and there is a small gap in between each piece. If you wear a larger size than 8, these guards won't fit or you'll have to buy extras to make it work. ... show more

Ordered the blue because it reminded me of my daughter’s favorite movie Frozen. It’s a nice sparkly blue but the chameleon effect does not appear like the photo shown. It has to be literally on ice for it to appear or it turns blue right away. I got the guards cut down at the pro shop at our skating rink to fit my toddlers skates. ... show more

Excellent option, very affordable which can be valuable if you have a young skater or if you are particularly forgetful. I loved them....until I lost them at my rink. they were so easy to assemble and smelled AMAZING, they're a bit slow to change color however, I skated for nearly 2 hours and they had only just begun to change color. I had some issues with the springs coming loose while walking. I'm not certain if that's due to me somehow assembling them incorrectly or if I got a defective pair. I suspect it was the latter as I've had pairs of these before and they never did that (deducting a star for that issue) ... show more

Ordered the hard guards in color Swirl: Berry Blend, but it came out very pink compared to the photo. Photo is much more white. If this does not matter as much, then it’ll be okay. However, photo does not truly represent the product. The guard itself is thick and has a rubber texture.
