Was time for an upgrade for the front of my house and these turned out perfect for a flush mounted surface. Two for my doorway and replaced the old flood lights by my garage. Just wanted to do something different so I turned them sideways and also since there was a very minor gap put a bead of clear silicone around them all to waterproof the wiring. I like these a lot. Good brightness, and I’ve now bought 14 of them for my indoor pool room. BUT I have some minor complaints: 1) The crossmembers on the front grille are quite sloppy, with bends and untrimmed paint. (The good news is, that’s hard to see when the light’s on.) 2) The plastic caps supplied to attach the light to the retaining nipple are a Truly Clueless Choice. They are very shallow, and you might spend all afternoon getting the nipple to protrude JUST the right amount for a secure fit. My advice: Throw all those caps in the trash and buy a set of Lamp Nipple Retaining Nuts with washers. I’ve included a photo of some that I bought at Lowe’s, that package comes with 2 nuts and 4 washers. 3) The instructions are missing a very important step. After the bezel is secured to the wall, push in the diffusion lens and CHECK THE FIT OF THE SEALING GASKET, ALL THE WAY AROUND! I spent a stupid amount of time with the first one, trying to figure out why the grille kept going on crooked. You also need to do this to assure that it’s suitably sealed for damp locations, as advertised. (You’re welcome!) ... show more

I mounted these on either side of the garage door in a shop I just had built. They mounted easily, and are as bright as I want them to be. If there is a down side, it is that the light is integrally mounted on a board in the fixture, so there is no way to "change the bulb" if the light goes out. But they are supposed to last a long time, so we shall see. I have been buying several LED outdoor lights lately, and they all are like that, darn it. ... show more
