Both can be picked up and carried away, but this one is lighter. If you don't want it to ever move, you can bolt it down to concrete and nobody will move it or fill it up with your gold bricks :) However, in case of a fire, I would want to quickly grab and carry out my safe full of guns and ammo, documents etc to prevent ammo from going off due to exessive heat. So the size-weight combination is absolutely perfect. I usually prefer super the heavy multi-thousand dollar safes to be installed during construction to reduce the risk of carry-out, but most people just build their own fire-proof safes or have them custom built. So for this size safe, I find this one is absolutely perfect, multi-purpose and won't be looking to upgrade. If you are a hotel owner, make sure to contact the company directly and ask for bulk contract pricing. Their products look very stylish. The build is great. The company works great with everybody. The response time to questions/requests is almost instant. As always, if you use fingerprint authorization for corporate security, make sure to refer to company's security specialist before registering fingerprints anywhere. Make sure to remove and keep the safe ID label in case you need key replacement. To set the PIN/Fingerprint, I needed to push the reset button once, instead of holding it like the manual instructs. Everything else is perfect.

Very good value and OK quality. I was pleased with the safe. It was easy to program. Amazingly, the password and fingerprint operations were very easy and accurate. (I usually find fingerprint access on devices to be totally unreliable.). My only reservation is the cheap junk wall anchors that came with the installation screws. They were so bad i had to get decent ones and redo the installation. All good now.

The media could not be loaded. The unit was packed securely and was undamaged. Substantial describes the feel of the unit, heavy without being too heavy. The setup was easy to do and the screen was clear and bright. I did not find it to be too bright in a dark room. If needed, you can just have it time out until you press a key. The fingerprints were stored on first attempt (watch video for example). The key worked easily as a great backup. I installed batteries and found no issues. The interior light was just bright enough to illuminate the things stored inside but not blind the user. The safe was roomy and mounting hardware was provided. An emergency power port is available (USB C) in case batteries failed, of course keys are provided as well. In summary, I found the setup easy by reading the manual first then setting up. The screen is readable. Opening is fast and the unit is lined nicely to protect items stored inside. The interior light is just right and the space is perfect for my full sized handgun and 2 magazines on one shelf and ammo on the other. Would be great for passports, money, papers, etc. All in all a great bedside gun safe, but would store anything that fits safely. I fully recommend this product.

I'm rating this 5 stars because its as advertised. You may or may not agree that its the best in its category, but I'm happy with it. Pros: Keeps contents safe from children unless you leave the keys or combo laying around for them to find. I just needed to keep things from my curious grandson. The biometric scanner works great for me and provides quicker access than finding the keys or using combo. At night, I do not want be looking for keys or trying to remember the combo. The space in this model suits my need for handguns and ammo access. Comes with "gun rack" that takes up the bottom shelf but leaves enough room for small accessories such as speed loader. I use the top shelf for ammo and a longer handgun. The mechanism "dial" turns smoothly and I like the locking bars make and size. It comes with adequate padding where needed. The velcroed accessory panel for the door (battery compartment hidden behind) is nice but it has to be aligned properly when installing so the door shuts. Cons: Its just a lock box that can be lifted and taken from the house by anybody strong enough to carry the weight and its contents. If you take the time to secure it to the floor, wall, heavy furniture, etc. then that will deter most. I like the idea of a light when the door is opened, but it isn't bright enough for me. However, you can install a battery operated LED light. The logo/cover plate that hides the key lock slides off too easily. You can look on youtube and see that a sledgehammer and chisel will open any safe of this class. But to be fair, its a deterrence, not a bank safe. Not sure how many openings it takes to deplete battery life, but I have another (different brand) and they never seem to last long enough. They are annoying to change out but it is what it is. I would suggest if you have the room to keep a spare set of batteries in the safe itself.
