I purchased this product because we have a Ninja Smoker/Griller and we needed some more pellets and I love the taste of Rosemary with my chicken, pork, or shrimp. We watched a video on how to put half regular pellets and half rosemary pellets in our container and my husband followed the instructions from the video and when he smoked our pork chops, turkey burgers, and all beef hot dogs, they came out tasting amazing and still held their flavor the next day for left overs. It took me a while before I could use these as I needed to run my pellet smoker mostly out of pellets before adding some. Since this is really just to enhance your other pellets, it is best to just mix some in as you refill. I could definitely smell the Rosemary and there was a hint of the smokey taste on our meat and veggies. It is a bit of a hassle to have to mix up pellets beforehand, so I am not sure I will purchase again in the future, but it might make a great product for a small pellet smoker where you have to adds pellets quite often. The bag is rather small, so you are paying quite a larger premium on these than a normal bag of pellets.

These were very easy to use. Going by the instructions, my husband scattered a handful over the charcoal after it turned grey. After the pellets went out, he grilled the meat as usual. The taste was not heavily that of rosemary, it was different than the usual one of charcoal grilled meat, and very nice. I'd call this a win-win for ease and flavor! Thank you for reading my review. These offer a great scent when smoking meats. However, the taste they impart is questionable. They are best with chicken and pork- something you'd normally season with rosemary. I feel that I can taste a hint of rosemary but have not done blind, side-by-side tastings to truly verify. They do smell great! You are supposed to mix these in with your other cooking pellets. I use a handful in my smoking box or on top of charcoal and that works pretty well. They are a bit pricey, but they are the real thing without a lot of additives- much better than the stuff I've tried in the store.

We've recently started using a smoker to add to our grilling line-up. Overall I like the smoky flavor that it imparts and have noticed that different pellet types can have a big impact on the flavor of the foods being smoked. We recently tried these Grill Armor Rosemary pellets in our indoor smoker mixed with apple wood to smoke a whole chicken. We used about 10% rosemary and 90% apple pellets. Even with such a low ratio, the rosemary pellets definitely added a strong odor to the smoke, almost to the point of being overpowering. They did impart a lot of flavor to the chicken and complimented the apple wood very well. Next time around we may try using even less of the rosemary pellets to achieve a more subtle flavor. Overall we liked these pellets, but would recommend starting out with small amounts and adjust to your taste and type of meat you're smoking.

The Grill Armor rosemary pellets for smokers comes in a small, 1lb bag that is to be added to other pellet mixes or possibly on top of charcoals. Upon opening the bag and mixing the rosemary pellets with a competition blend of pellets, I could definitely smell the rosemary but I really couldn't taste it in the chicken that I grilled. If I have to mix more rosemary pellets to get a noticeable flavor, than the cost of this option seems way too high vs simply seasoning. I will eventually try these pellets on my charcoal grill to see if they can add flavor that way to some food, but I am not very interested in trying them again on my pellet grill.
