So: if you're one of those poor souls restoring a Volvo 240 and the rubber wind buffer strip on the very back of your sunroof is cracked and crumbling, this is as close as you're going to get to a replacement. You will have to trim this down a bit to be a bit narrower, but it has the same profile and a similar thickness. It'll work.

This weather stripping was heavier than I expected, making a good seal around my garage door. It was easy to adhere once I determined where I needed to place it, and so far it's stayed in place. It's winter now, so I'm curious how it will hold up to the summer heat and humidity. However, I needed more than just one roll- most garage door sides are longer than 20 feet- it would be nice if this came in a 32 ft roll.

The seal seems pretty heavy duty and strong, and initially it seemed like it was going to work out great to keep water out of our garage however, over the next week of near 100° temperatures it was evident that the adhesive was not going to hold up. Well, we can put screws on the adhesive, I’m not sure that water won’t still come in between the screw locations. So this may be a great option for you if you do not get super crazy high temperatures, but if you do, it may not work out.

I noticed last Fall that the seal along my greenhouse door leaked. During the Fall and Winter months, I only grow cool weather crops like lettuce, spinach, mustard greens, and baby carrots. I heat the greenhouse using compost. I construct a temporary compost bin on the North facing wall. The heat generated keeps my small greenhouse warm enough to grow my crops. Then in the Spring I can dismantle the bins an use the processed compost in my garden. I decided to order this product and applied it around the outside edge of my greenhouse door. Now when I close my door has a tight seal. The product is flexible; however, I wonder how it will withstand near freezing temperatures. Most products become stiff and brittle. I will post an update and revise my STAR rating if warranted..

I used the adhesive to hold in place while I put screws in. Works well. The size is odd for garage doors. Yes, doors can come in different heights and waste is likely to be encountered may times, but the most common size door would need 32 feet. I did the sides, but ended up throwing out the 4 feet left over.
