The Greenworks PRO 16-Inch 80V Cordless String Trimmer is the ultimate tool for powerful and efficient lawn care. The digital Pro brushless motor provides gas equivalent performance to a 32cc gas engine, without the need for gas or oil. The easy load head allows for quick trimmer line refill, while the 0.080" dual line bump feed head ensures efficient cutting of tough weeds and grass. This tool is compatible with Greenworks' 80V batteries and charger models GBA80200, GBA80400 and GCH8040, which are sold separately. Greenworks products are interesting-- I have never had one fail. I've never had a technical issue, or warranty issue. What I have had is sometimes a slight mismatch between my design expectations and how they solve the issue of weed eating, mowing, etc. In this case, this is not the first weed eater I've had from Greenworks, but this is the first one that: 1. Was powerful enough 2. Spins up and down fast enough 3. Is well balanced enough 4. Rotates the proper direction for a right handed person 5. Has a spool that taps to replenish This was my first foray into the 80V world, coming from the 40V world in Greenworks and having many many batteries, chargers and devices. My first reaction: the battery is HUGE. After I got over that, it does perform well, charges very fast compared to the 40V and will be my future in the Greenworks Ecosystem. I'm happy with this product which finally meets all of my hopes of a weed eater and helped bridge me to the new 80V world. ... show more

Runs for over an hour on battery charge, VERY easy to put on new cord. It's a bit top heavy, but made a strap to go over shoulder and that helped a lot. Great tool for a gal!

I like this string trimmer. With the 80V battery, the trimmer has very good power and can go through thick grass and weeds. The only issue I have is its weight. After about 30 minutes, your arms will definitely hurt from holding the trimmer. I purchased a separate shoulder harness to see if it'll help with off loading some of the weight of the tool. Greenworks should have included a harness as part of the product. ... show more

My only complaint is the string changes. Its not as easy as my Echo edger was. And the guide seems worthless as I thought it would be good for edging, but the line is offset about an inch or so into the grass line, and creates this large gap between sidewalk and grass. I ended up taking that off.

Amazon! Stop selling a device that has no customer support and no parts available for repair/replacement. Shame! Be aware, if you loose or break the line feeder cover of the 80v cordless Pro trimmer, the manufacturer nor amazon has the parts to help you. You will be stuck with a very expensive non working trimmer. The line feeder cover (the part that covers the line feeder) got loose while using it and flew away. I was not able to find it. Try to get a replacement part from amazon and other sources. None available. Contacted the manufacturer. Out of stock. When will it be available? Not known. Based on other reviews, there are people waiting for it for years now. Go figure. For now, I am stuck with a trimmer I can't use. Because it's out of the return time (one month), amazon will not give you credit or help you. So, be aware. Thanks Greenworks. I guess it was nice doing business with you.
