I want to start off by saying that I like Greenworks battery powered garden equipment and own many of their products. The majority of their products are great, however this one was a dud. It is their first foray into Ebikes and it shows. The bike generally has quality parts, however there are many issues related to the functions and a huge issue related to false advertising that anyone interested in this bike should know about. I'll start with the false advertising: Greenworks markets and write that this bike has a 750W motor, however it only has a 500W motor. On the bike itself the motor is labeled 500W in several places. This is clearly false advertising. In terms of function the 3 pedal assist modes are all identical in levels of assistance and there is no difference in power level between the three. Also, the screen does not track mileage or speed correctly and often resets itself and the battery gauge fluctuates inconsistently. The battery is grossly insufficient in terms of provided mileage if using pedal assist and will not get you far. There were also noises coming from the back wheel. There were other minor issues such as some bolts and a small part missing from assembly. You can tell that this was a rushed product. I was able to buy this for a great "open box" price and it shipped fast, was super easy for me to put together(basically only 3 main pieces)...My butt isn't what it used to be so the SUPER comfy seat is awesome plus the dual shock absorbers work very well too. This is a similar size and design like some of my old mopeds from back in the day and it's nice and easy to get on and off and the pedals are perfect. Another great thing is that it's weather proof, lots of cheap ebikes are NOT waterproof. The batteries are big and heavy but seem to last a long time. You can find extra 80v batteries for about $110...(open box price) and the batteries are interchangeable with other Greenworks 80v tools. Their customer service is basically non-existing and they don't even have a way to email them so with that in mind...is it a risk you are willing to take? As with anything there are no guarantees things will work, I've seen as many horror stories as positive ones and so far mine has been positive...although this amazon purchase was shipped fast, the riding mower I ordered from the Greenworks website still hasn't gotten here and I ordered it 5 weeks ago. It's supposed to come next monday but reaching anyone or trying to ask questions was almost impossible. The 2 people I was finally able to talk to were pleasant and said that it's really coming. I’m 5’11 with a 31 inch inseam. This bike is just barely small enough for me to fit on with the seat all the way down. The instructions leave a lot to be desired for assembly, the wrench’s they sent were a size too big. The clamp for the seat height adjuster doesn’t quite get tight enough to keep it in place or is too tight to close fully. Otherwise great ride, plenty of power. Heavy as hell though. ... show more

This e-bike is a blast to ride! I bought it because I already have a Greenworks 80V mower, blower, and string trimmer - with several batteries (compatible with the e-bike). There is a park with a greenway right down the road from my house. I checked with the city before buying the bike, and they do allow Class 2 (max speed of 20 MPH + throttle assist) on the greenway. The 4.0Ah battery that came with my mower lasts all day in the e-bike, even when using throttle assist 100% of the time. The seat is super comfortable unlike most traditional style seats. The LED headlight is really bright and have no issues riding at dusk. There is also a rear red light for added safety. I would still recommend wearing some type of strobe to make sure oncoming cars can see you. I take it out on the weekends, and always get compliments on how cool it looks!
