I originally had a Greenworks 21" mower and, given that I have about a 1/3rd of an acre to mow, I wanted something with a wider cut. The other thing that appealed to me is that this particular unit accommodates two batteries and automatically switches over from one to the other when the first battery is drained, which extends the length of time I can mow before having to switch batteries. Depending upon the thickness of my lawn (length of the grass), I can usually complete my mowing with 2.5 batteries or so, which is convenient. I like that there is also one lever for deck height adjustment (as opposed to some mowers I have used where each wheel is adjusted independently and, if one wheel becomes jarred, the deck mows at an off-kilter angle). The wheels are a good diameter and the self-propel function is convenient (although I do not use it often; I prefer to self-propel to get a little exercise when mowing). There are a few things that I have noticed that may be negatives. The mower is "short" from front to back and, as a result, when mowing up a hill, it can be a bit of a challenge to ensure the deck remains flat with the grade of the hill (as opposed to tipping back or driving the unit forward). The speed adjustment on the self-propel feature is too easy to bump and change. (It would be nice if there were "click stops" so that it stayed where it was set.) Another thing that causes me a little worry is that the wheels "lock" with the self-propel and do not seem to unlock without pushing the mower forward a bit. This is a problem when mowing around trees using the self-propel because I cannot just disengage the self-propel and back up the mower... The wheels are locked. I have to tip the mower onto its front wheels, pull the mower back, and then push the mower forward (without the self-propel) to unlock the wheels. The concerning thing for me is that my previous Greenworks mower eventually locked the wheels permanently. I can no longer use the mower without the self-propel feature (I also cannot pull the mower backward as the rear wheels are permanently locked). I am hoping this is not a problem that crops up with this mower, but it is a concern. Lastly, I have no idea why there are headlights on the mower. Who mows in the dark? While the LEDs probably do not consume much power, I would much rather prefer that the batteries be used for mowing and self-propelling the mower, not illuminating some useless headlights. Overall, though, my concerns are minor and the mower works well. I love how quiet it is compared to a gasoline-powered mower and also enjoy no longer having to purchase gas at $3+ per gallon to mow the lawn. I did have to buy extra batteries and a charging unit to accommodate my larger lawn, but I am happy with the purchase so far.

This review comes from someone who owned the original 80v greenworks 21” push mower. The handles on that one broke had to use tie straps, the battery cover broke and it sucked changing batteries every 20 minutes thr thing never died 7 years later though. Then I bought this bad boy first off it has dual battery bays instant win right there. Secondly the handles are now reinforced aluminum they fixed that problem too! The battery covers are now magnetic boom fixed every single problem the original one had dude. This one is self propelled too WIN. I put this thing on high and I had to run to keep up and it didn’t miss a blade of grass with the dual blades. I did a test cut 3/4 of an acre on mid speed did it in 28 mins with two batteries one still had 1 bar left. The reach of this lawnmower is insane I didn’t break a sweat. Got sick of emptying the bag so took it off put in the mulch plastic block and just cut the yard it was like walking on a treadmill but I was getting stuff done. I have never been more pleased with a lawn mower. Greenworks has always been the best my string trimmer and blower is 80v greenworks too still going after 10 years. This stuff never dies!!!! I poured water in the battery bay on the old one just for the heck of it and it still turned on I can’t kill it. Going to give it to a family in need I guess cause this new one is amazing.

Well, the one I have now replaced the first one I purchased. You will see many complaints about the after purchase customer service, and the difficulties getting issues resolved. It took me a few days to resolve a problem, but the response was great eventually. I was given a replacement because the repair facility was far from me My mower didn't self propelled, and the new one does The 25 inch cutting width us sweet! It climbs the hills like a goat, and it cuts like a dream!! The battery life is affected by the crazy heat we've been experiencing, but it still doesn't take long to get done. It really cuts better than any other mower I've tried.

This mower gets bogged down a little easier than I would’ve expected. I was a little disappointed in this. I definitely have to adjust the height if the grass is overgrown.

Do not buy any greenworks products. They do not honor their warranty. Less than a year ago I purchased a 80V 25” dual blade Self Propelled Electric Mower which was sold by Amazon without batteries or charger. Amazon recommend those items separately. I went with their recommendation, the mower worked fine for 10 months after which the mower still self propelled but the cutting blades would not turn. When I contacted me to Amazon, the referred me to Greenworks which at first said they would ship a replacement unit as it was still under warranty. They the saw the proof of purchases and declined timo honor the warranty as the batteries recommended by Amazon were not made by the mower company. I don’t know who is responsible Amazon or Greenworks but this is not how you earn business.

Got 25” self propelled. I put two 5.0Ah batteries. My yard is about 0.25 acre and I used up only one battery to finish. You can adjust self propelling speed, mulching and bagging works well, height adjustment is easy, and the cut is clean. I love how it folds and stands on the side of my garage. It’s a fabulous product.

If you buy this at Costco (21''), you get two batteries and a charger for just $25 more, saving you hundreds of dollars. The batteries are powerful if you get the 4.0AH version. I had very tall, thick grass that hadn't been mowed in a month, and it did an excellent job cutting through it. I didn't bag the grass but was able to go over it three times for a thorough mow. The online reviews about uneven grass cutting are accurate. Despite having double blades for a better cut, it sometimes misses spots, especially with very tall grass, which gets pushed over and not sucked back up for cutting. Regarding the self-propelled feature, if you try to back up without releasing the lever first, it can be a struggle. However, if you let go of the lever even half a second before pulling, it works smoothly. I appreciate the turbo mode, as it cuts heavy grass much better.

It does a great job mowing, but you can’t go too fast or it will miss some of the grass. It also would be nice if you could pull it backwards on the rear wheels. I can get my lawn done more quickly with its 25 inch span. The self propelled sometimes goes faster than what the mower can realistically cut. Still I am very pleased.
